Nakd Raw Fruit & Nut Bars - Vegan & Gluten Free
New from our friends at Nakd we have a further simplification of this absurdly simple
range. The new bars eschew the oats and apple juice of the rest of the range leaving us
with just raw fruit, nuts, and spices cold-pressed together and presented in distinctive
colourful packaging that jumps off the shelf. The ingredients lists are minimalist to say
the least: Cashew Cookie - cashews, dates; Cocoa Orange - dates, cashews, raisins,
cocoa, hint of natural flavour; Ginger Bread - dates, almonds, pecans, ginger, cloves,
cinnamon; Pecan Pie - dates, pecans, almonds. Needless to say, they taste fantastic.

Organico - The Organic Collection
Back after a little absence from Organico (supply problems have now been sorted out,
we hear) is the 30g bar of what we used to call in the Isle of Man: "nuggat". I try to say
"nooogaah" these days, but sometimes I lapse.

Tohi - Fair Trade Organic Belgian Chocolate Bars
New from our Belgian friends at Tohi we have a range of Organic and Fair Trade
chocolate bars which are whiter than white (though none of them are white - five types of
74% dark, and three milk). Fair Trade certified by Max Havelaar, organically certified by
Certisys, packaging FSC approved and eschewing the foil which normally envelopes
chocolate, and the company carbon neutral - what's not to like? (They are the first to
admit that they are not altogether happy with the ink used, but they are working on it).
The chocolate itself was rapturously received in the Infinity office,with all four flavoured
dark bars getting special commendations. Quirkily packaged in pastel colours featuring
the motif of the Tohi - a recently discovered South American bird - the bars stand out
amongst the competing brands, especially when displayed on the free wooden stand

It's easy to look at the extraordinarily cramped and verbose packaging of Dr Bronner's
soaps and to have doubts about the sanity of the perpetrator - let's face it, the great

Cocoa Loco - Snowmen
From Soil Association Organic Food Heroes of 2008 & local Sussex darlings Cocoa
Loco we have a range of Xmas goodies ranging from the stocking fillers at 99p - 3.49 to
the more substantial gifts at 8.99 (I should perhaps make it clear that you don't have to
give them away - you can always eat them yourself). The milk chocolate is creamy as
anything with 34% cocoa solids, the white rich with vanilla, and the dark has 73% cocoa
