The villa is less than two miles from the magical canal-town of Isle Sur La Sorgue, featuring one of the best markets in Provence and is also within comfortable driving distance of Avignon, Carpentras and Orange with all the French culture and history offered along the way. The grounds at Petit Hopital include a pristine swimming pool with a Romanesque fountain. The interior courtyard features another fountain for even more romantic effect. Cozy outdoor furniture allows for splendid moments of alfresco dining and lounging. Indoors, you will find a satellite TV with DVD player, an iPod dock and Internet access. The wine cellar with tasting room is sure to be a distinct pleasure for oenophiles! The furnishings at Petit Hopital are modern, comfortable and stately, yet rather quaint when juxtaposed against the exposed stone walls. The plush living room has also been fitted with a fireplace. The villa includes a fully equipped kitchen with center island featuring gas hobs and a separate bar counter connecting via open plan to the formal dining area to help keep the flow of the conversation going. Eight resplendent bedrooms accommodate up to sixteen guests at Petit Hopital. All of the bedrooms include either double, queen or king sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms includes a television. Fine accoutrements and sensuous linens help provide a tranquil night of sleep. A little further north from Avignon, lies the town of Orange. There you can discover the ruins of the ancient Roman Theatre built under Emperor Augustus in the first century. Surprisingly intact, the theatre is a must see for history buffs. Golf aficionados will also be happy to be located close to the pristine eighteen holes at the Provence Country Club. When you return to Petit Hopital, feel free to bask in the shade of one hundred year old plane trees amid the fragrances of thyme and lavender on the cool country breeze.
