Outdoor Air <strong>Heat</strong><br />
The warmer air outside of conditioned spaces is called outdoor air or<br />
atmospheric air. Due to its higher temperature, outdoor air tends to increase<br />
the average room temperature when it enters indoor spaces.<br />
Although some air exchange is normal when doors and windows are open,<br />
outdoor air can also enter conditioned spaces through leaks around doors,<br />
windows and other building envelope elements. The heat held by outdoor air<br />
comes in great part from the sun, but it can also originate from vehicles or<br />
from other buildings.
