STRATFORD FESTIVAL OF MOTORING
Forget Turin – all the action of The Italian Job is right here in
Stratford-upon-Avon thanks to the Stratford Festival of Motoring.
The Festival, now in its sixth year, returns on Sunday 6th and Monday 7th May.
(10am to 5pm on Sunday and 10am to 4pm on Monday.) This year Wood Street
is themed on the iconic 1969 film, and you can expect reminders of the
classic comedy caper, from Minis to Italian supercars.
The 2018 Festival follows the successful formula with participants
taking runs through the beautiful countryside that surrounds our
historic town, before returning to town to park up. Visitors will be
treated to a showcase of over 300 impressive motor vehicles.
Catch them as they arrive on Wood Street between 9am
and midday.
There will be plenty of entertainment including live music
and interactive demonstrations. Local car dealership, Listers
– a long-running supporter of this popular event – returns
as Festival Sponsor and will display its impressive ranges
on Bridge Street and Waterside.
Amongst all the excitement is the town’s ever impressive
collection of shops, restaurants and bars waiting for
you to explore. The Festival is funded by 430 town
centre businesses, so lets show our support to them.

Castle Fine Art based at 40 Wood Street, will be joining in the festivities by
displaying four motor-themed original paintings by contemporary artist, Robert Oxley.
Family Area at Rother Market: Sea Cadets UK Engineering Pod with fun,
hands-on demonstrations, go-karts, bouncy castle, emergency vehicles & more.
Live Music at Bell Court – soak up local musicians performing from 10am to 4pm.
Automotive Arts Exhibition at Whitewall Gallery – enjoy their marvellous
array of automotive inspired artworks and join them for a glass of fizz or two.
Wacky Races with Escape Arts – children can create cars from recycled
materials and race, while you relax! Free to take part at the Old Slaughterhouse
Heritage & Arts Centre (donations welcome).
Mechanical And Design (MAD) Museum – Festival offer of reduced price entry
