SFSC is also home to the Museum of Florida<br />
Art <strong>and</strong> Culture, home to an extensive collection<br />
of art <strong>and</strong> artifacts, including the famed<br />
Highwayman paintings.<br />
Picturesque railroad stations are home to<br />
historical museums in nearby Avon Park <strong>and</strong><br />
Lake Placid. The historic Sebring railroad station,<br />
still in use for daily Amtrak service, has<br />
undergone restoration <strong>and</strong> has again become<br />
a favorite place to visit.<br />
The Children’s Museum of the Highl<strong>and</strong>s —<br />
now located inside Lakeshore Mall — has<br />
provided a safe, fun venue for children to<br />
learn <strong>and</strong> explore for more than 20 years.<br />
Through exhibits <strong>and</strong> ongoing programs, the<br />
museum provides a means for children to enhance<br />
their curiosity <strong>and</strong> develop their imaginations<br />
while enjoying interactive exhibits.<br />

the Highl<strong>and</strong>s MoTA features curated<br />
exhibits, both permanent <strong>and</strong> traveling.<br />

featured in the other three buildings in<br />
