With help from community partners we have designed a program to help a few select kids<br />
not just excel at golf but in all of life, kids that NEED an opportunity.
We are excited to introduce to you<br />
the <strong>Champions</strong> <strong>Program</strong>. With help<br />
from expert partners we have<br />
designed this program to help a few<br />
select kids not just excel at golf but in<br />
all of life. The program is built for kids<br />
who want to chase the dream of<br />
getting a college golf scholarship but<br />
do not have the financial means or<br />
experience to do so. The <strong>Champions</strong><br />
<strong>Program</strong> is 100% free to its recipients.<br />

•Youth receives mentoring in golf<br />
and life from caring, qualified adults<br />
over 5+ years<br />
•Access to Julington Creek Golf Club<br />
provides free golf, free practice time<br />
and access to additional golf related<br />
scholarships<br />
•Participation in New Way Golf<br />
Academy program designed for<br />
those wishing to excel at golf<br />
•Sponsorship for needed athletic<br />
attire and equipment<br />
•Networking connection for now,<br />
college time and beyond
HOW IT<br />
WORKS:<br />
•A partner agency recommends a<br />
youth who meets the<br />
requirements<br />
•The youth and parent/guardian<br />
agree to the terms and<br />
commitments<br />
•The <strong>Champions</strong> <strong>Program</strong> “adopts”<br />
the player as part of the program<br />
•Julington Creek Golf Club is the<br />
home for practice and mentoring<br />
•NWG works with local churches<br />
and businesses to recruit and train<br />
mentors<br />
•The network works together to<br />
help the youth be successful<br />
in golf and life
REQUIREMENTS:<br />
•Youth ages 11-13 or in grades<br />
6th - 7th (at program entry)<br />
•Youth should have athletic ability<br />
that can be developed<br />
•Be male (summer 2018 is a pilot<br />
year where we are seeking 3<br />
males)<br />
•Youth should be capable of and<br />
working towards college<br />
enrollment post-graduation<br />
•Youth should be able to conduct<br />
themselves properly on a golf<br />
course<br />
•Have transportation to Julington<br />
Creek Golf Course 1x per week or<br />
3x per month?<br />
