Modern luxury meets Alpine charm at <strong>Chalet</strong> <strong>Valentine</strong>. Set just steps from the piste a<br />
few miles from the picturesque village of Méribel, this newly built ski villa also has<br />
everything from a private spa to a home theater. The property is available on a selfcatered<br />
or fully catered basis, and its six bedrooms can accommodate up to fourteen<br />
friends or family members.<br />
A self-catered holiday at <strong>Chalet</strong> <strong>Valentine</strong> includes daily housekeeping; a fully catered<br />
stay includes six days of chef service; a host at breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner; a<br />
driver and two days of ski instruction. The villa has a range of amenities to both<br />
invigorate and soothe, from an al-fresco plunge pool, barrel sauna and hot tub to an<br />
indoor hammam. Gather around the outdoor firepit for roasted marshmallows and hot<br />
cocoa, or around the foosball table in the games room for a little friendly competition.<br />
A home theater with satellite TV and a sound system throughout the villa will satisfy<br />
technophiles, while the stunning mountain views will more than please nature lovers.<br />

This vacation rental may have been built recently, but it takes its inspiration from chalets<br />
of the past, featuring stone walls, peaked rooflines and pretty cutouts in its wooden<br />
railings. The living spaces are chic yet comfortable, filled with sofas and chairs in a<br />
warm mix of red, green and cream, all tucked around a fireplace. Both the living room<br />
and dining room look out toward the French Alps; the fully equipped kitchen can be<br />
closed off for guests’ privacy during a fully catered stay.<br />
Each of the six bedrooms at <strong>Chalet</strong> <strong>Valentine</strong> has a double bed, and all but one have<br />
en-suite bathrooms. Beautiful details such as sloped ceilings, wood paneling and<br />
patterned fabrics give the suites an irresistible blend of sophisticated style and Alpine<br />
warmth. For larger parties or families traveling with children, there’s an additional<br />
bedroom with twin bunk beds that shares a bathroom with one of the double<br />
bedrooms.<br />
With friendly villages, postcard-worthy forested scenery and one of the largest ski areas<br />
in Europe spread over the Trois Vallées, the Méribel area is a wonderful choice for a<br />
family trip, ski break with friends or even an active honeymoon. <strong>Chalet</strong> <strong>Valentine</strong> is just<br />
steps from the nearest slope and a short drive from the Parc Olympique and its ski lift,<br />
where you can try your skills on the trails used in the 1992 Winter Games. For shopping<br />
and dining, make the drive into the center of Méribel, which has bakeries and farmers’<br />
markets alongside upscale boutiques.<br />
