generous donations of £10,000 or above will also receive —<br />
• Recognition throughout the Cathedral’s public presence<br />
(the build<strong>in</strong>g, website and pr<strong>in</strong>ted publications).<br />
• Invitations to select social and cultural events throughout the<br />
year, with the opportunity to arrange bespoke<br />
receptions alongside the exist<strong>in</strong>g events programme.<br />
• Preferential service, rates and access for book<strong>in</strong>g corporate<br />
events at the Cathedral.<br />
GIFT AID TERMS AND CONDITIONS<br />
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Ga<strong>in</strong>s Tax at least equal to the tax that the<br />
Cathedral and any other charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs you donate to reclaim on your donations <strong>in</strong> the<br />
appropriate tax year (currently 25p for each £1 given)*. Other taxes such as Council Tax and VAT do not qualify.<br />
1. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notify<strong>in</strong>g the Cathedral’s Fundrais<strong>in</strong>g Team.<br />
2. If <strong>in</strong> the future, your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your <strong>in</strong>come and capital ga<strong>in</strong>s equal to the tax that<br />
the Cathedral reclaims, you can cancel your Declaration.<br />
3. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief <strong>in</strong> your Self-Assessment tax return.<br />
4. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, ask the Cathedral Fundrais<strong>in</strong>g Team or refer to help<br />
sheet IR65 on the HMRC website at www.hmrc.gov.uk.<br />
5. Please notify the Cathedral if you change your name or address.<br />
*Gift Aid is l<strong>in</strong>ked to basic rate tax. Basic rate tax is currently 20%, which allows charities to reclaim 25p on each £1. Higher<br />
rate tax payers can claim back the difference between basic and higher rate tax.<br />
