flagship aircraft Boeing 787<br />

Dreamliner, Air Canada<br />

launched on <strong>June</strong> 1 its nonstop<br />

direct flight between<br />

Montreal and Tokyo via<br />

Narita International Airport.<br />

The airline said the flights<br />

will operate yearround—daily<br />

during summer<br />

peak travel and three times a<br />

week during winter.<br />

The new transpacific service<br />

from its Montreal hub is<br />

designed to optimize<br />

connectivity to several<br />

Canadian and US<br />

cities—Quebec City, Ottawa,<br />

Halifax, Charlottetown,<br />

Boston, Philadelphia and<br />

Orlando.<br />

Dreamliner planes offer<br />

comfortable ergonomic<br />

seating and enhanced<br />

definition intuitive touch<br />

personal entertainment<br />

screens. Its Signature Class<br />

has 180-degree lie-flat seats<br />

MUSCAT: Oman Air is launching its<br />

new daily flights between Muscat<br />

and Istanbul on <strong>June</strong> 1 and is also<br />

s et to commence s er vice to<br />

Moscow on October 28, 2018.<br />

The airline's Holidays Division has<br />

come up with exciting holiday<br />

packages offering tickets, hotel<br />

s t a y, a i r p o r t t r a n s f e r s a n d<br />

excursions at very competitive<br />

rates to support the new service.<br />

Omanis travelling to Istanbul are<br />

eligible for visa on arrival.<br />

T h e I s t a n b u l s e r v i c e w i l l b e<br />

operated by a Boeing 737-800 and<br />

will depart daily from Muscat to<br />

Istanbul Atatürk International<br />

Airport.<br />

The new route between Oman and<br />

Turkey will strengthen bilateral<br />

r e l a t i o n s b e t w e e n t h e t w o<br />

countries, enhance trading and<br />

tourism prospects and enable<br />

Oman Air's guests to explore one of<br />

the world's most thriving cities, the<br />

airline said.<br />

The new daily flight to Moscow<br />

Domodedovo Airport, meanwhile,<br />

will be operated by a Boeing 737<br />

MAX 8 with an estimated flight time<br />

of 5 hours and 55 minutes, offering<br />

12 seats in Business Class and 150<br />

in Economy.<br />

Oman Air has opened reservation<br />

for its planned service to Russia.<br />

This comes in tandem with the<br />

recent announcement made by the<br />

Royal Oman Police (ROP) affirming<br />

that citizens of Iran, Russia and<br />

China have been added to the list of<br />

nationalities that can enter the<br />

Sultanate on a tourist visa without a<br />

local sponsor.<br />

The route will be the only non-stop<br />

operation between Oman and<br />

Russia benefitting both business<br />

and leisure travelers, in addition to<br />

offering seamless connections via<br />

Oman Air hub to destinations<br />

across the globe.<br />

In <strong>June</strong>, Oman Air will also receive<br />

the first of its three 787 - 9<br />

D r e a m l i n e r o n o r d e r, w h i c h<br />

f e a t u r e s a t h r e e c l a s s<br />

configuration. Oman Air, the<br />

S u l t a n a t e' s a w a r d - w i n n i n g<br />

national airline unveiled the new<br />

First Class Private Suite of its<br />

Dreamliner on the opening day of<br />

the Arabian Travel Market 2018.
