Hair-pin hillsides<br />
Scarping rocks, cascading springs.<br />
Ferns growing in shadowed crevices ten-feet up<br />
the cliff.<br />
Climbing under power.<br />
Surefooted second gear.<br />
Finding the rhythm, swing and tempo<br />
Of the switchbacks.<br />
Mountain vistas<br />
