<strong>KATHA</strong>KAAR, Katha’s Centre for Children’s Literature, was set up<br />
in 1992 as part of Katha Vilasam, the Story Research and Resource<br />
Centre. It endeavours to initiate children into the colourful world<br />
of literature by publishing splendidly illustrated storybooks.<br />
Drawing inspiration from Katha’s various activities with children,<br />
Kathakaar works with a pool of writers and illustrators, to<br />
nurture reading habits in children, and paves the way for their<br />
all round development. We showcase the many traditions of<br />
Indian storytelling in beautifully written, illustrated, edited and<br />
produced books that have gone on to win international awards.<br />

THE I LOVE READING CAMPAIGN: Our 22 years experience and<br />
expertise led to a Delhi Government invitation to take the Katha<br />
