Welcome<br />
Regular readers will recall that back in May we<br />
announced Golden Times was getting a facelift, and<br />
you now hold in your hands the new-look magazine!<br />
We’re very proud of this issue, which is the biggest<br />
we’ve ever printed and we’ve tried our best to pack<br />
in some great content that we hope you’ll all find<br />
interesting, informative and entertaining.<br />
All of the familiar faces who have contributed to<br />
Golden Times in the past are still here, but we’re also<br />
adding in more features about a variety of subjects<br />
we’ve not covered before.<br />
In this, our summer issue, we’ve got some suggestions<br />
for activities to help you make the most of the warmer<br />
months on page 30, and also a focus on great places<br />
for a local day out on page 24. Page 40 sees us<br />
venture further afield with our first ever travel feature<br />
which we hope will become a regular fixture in the<br />
magazine. This time, we’re focusing on city breaks,<br />
which are becoming very popular of late, and we’re<br />
planning to feature other types of holiday in future<br />
issues.<br />
We’re really looking forward to growing the new-look<br />
Golden Times, and we’re grateful to of the advertisers<br />
and contributors who help us put the magazine<br />
together, not forgetting of course, all of our loyal<br />
readers, without whom there would be no magazine.<br />
