Selecting Wedding Favours
As a bride/groom, you should appreciate the
fact that your wedding guests will take time
out from their busy lifestyles to attend your
wedding. Besides… guests do make the
effort to dress up and buy you a present!
As the wedding is one of your important days
in your life, you tend to celebrate it in style to
make it a memorable day for you and your
guests … spending on flowers, clothing,
venue, food and dressing up. In addition to
good memories why not give your wedding
guests a present to take home with them.. a
‘wedding favour’?
Wedding favours can be ornaments, food or
useful items in day-to-day life. Be it
handmade items by you and your family, off
the shelf products from a shop or customized
items from a supplier, there are many things
out there that you can give away at your
wedding. It is the thought that counts…. but
let’s put that extra thought into it!
Here are a few classical items that you could
give away:
Scented soap or candles
Ornaments containing tea/mints
Small porcelain or wooden ornaments
Small photo frames
Small vases
Country/town based souvenirs
it fun?)
them choose at the wedding)
cutter, shower cap, comb
Fazna of ‘Wedding Favors Inspirations’
told us about her service while giving
some good tips on choosing the right
favour for a wedding,
Favours that are in most demand at
the moment:
Practical items such as bottle stoppers
and salt & pepper shakers. Other items
include glass coasters, handbag
holders, mirrors or a photoholder with a
photo of the couple.
Things to consider when buying
wedding favours:
Your budget
Durability - edible i.e. something
you can eat vs a keepsake that
reminds you of the ceremony
The couple’s personalities: for
example a journalist or booklover
could giveout metal bookmark
Should you give favours to all guests?
Not necessarily. Some prefer to gift
favours to the ladies only, and some to
both. At times one gift is given per
family. If it is one person that you would
like to give a favour to, it is always best
to go with the ‘lady’.
When should you order and why:
Order at least 8 to 10 weeks prior to
wedding, as this would allow for
shipping of products if they are sourced
from outside the country. Else, if
products are out of stock, they can be
manufactured. Remember, if you order
last minute, the cost per item could be
higher.
How to order favours from Fazna:
You can order upto 500 favours and
there are cost savings in ordering large
quantities. Customization can be considered
for quantities over 500 items.
Pre-order over the phone and do a
