Suspension tuning<br />

the tight woods to the sand whoops, or<br />

just faster trails, and it takes about 60<br />

seconds right at the track or trail. Many<br />

riders will use this feature to find that<br />

perfect chassis balance we spoke about<br />

in a previous article. Note that, as you<br />

drop the back of the bike by adding<br />

mm’s, you will find that the initial 1/3<br />

of the shock stroke will become stiffer.<br />

This is generally a plus for as you<br />

typically lengthen the pull rods you are<br />

hitting things faster. Keep this in mind<br />

as you do your tuning.<br />

TRIPLE CLAMPS<br />

Triple clamps can be purchased in<br />

different offsets than stock, and some<br />

clamps give you the additional option<br />

of two different offsets, by rotating the<br />

steering stem 180 degrees. Let’s say our<br />

stock bike has a 22mm clamp offset.<br />
