Rumpke Consolidated Companies provides waste collection, disposal, and<br />
recycling services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers in<br />
Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The company operates nine landfills, seven transfer<br />
stations, and five recycling facilities. It manages a fleet of 1,600 vehicles. In<br />
addition, Rumpke rents portable toilets and repairs and distributes hydraulic<br />
components. The Rumpke family owns the company which was founded in 1932<br />
by William F. Rumpke as a coal and junkyard business. More than 100 Rumpke<br />
family members are employed by their namesake company.<br />
