Ex-Officio Report During 2017-18 Environment Yukon worked collaboratively with the Board of Directors to develop a new Operational Funding Agreement that provides $1,422,500 over two years beginning April 1, 2018. The agreement provides stable funding in order to manage and operate the Preserve while providing a high standard of animal care in a safe, secure natural environment. The two year term was mutually agreed upon to coincide with the development of a comprehensive new master plan scheduled for completion by the end of March 2020. During 2017-18, Environment Yukon also contributed capital funding in the amount of $128,000 to enable the replacement of the existing hay barn and feed storage facility with a suitable building and composting facility. The completed project provides improved feed storage sheltered from the elements and allows for on-site composting of organic waste. 20 Annual Report
