Through research, collaboration and
guided social programming, Seed to
Oaks is helping local neighborhoods
address their most urgent needs, such
as health, jobs, and education.

civic agencies, filling the space between
the three.

360 assessments
Our Neighborhood 360 Assessments help local
churches research their neighborhood to discover
actionable insight into the dreams and needs of their
community.
In the past year, we facilitated 8
Neigborhood Assessments in six communities (Shelby
Park, Portland, Jeffersontown, Highview, South
Louisville, and New Albany, IN) and positioned each
church to mobilize their people to make a real and
lasting difference in their community.
The Struggle is Real.
Due to a lack of resources for staff and
low volunteerism, the responsibility to
reach and serve the surrounding
community normally falls squarely
upon the pastor. Our Neighborhood
Assessments change this.
Churches don’t have to be invisible
to their neighborhoods.
Local residents rarely benefit from
churches that exist near their
neighborhoods, and likely would not
feel the impact of a church closing its
doors.
Pastors don’t have to guess
where to begin.
Although they wish to mobilize their
people to serve, pastors operate under
budgetary constraints, lack of
personnel and without effective
programming. We are here to help.

Summer Academies
We launched Summer Academies in both
Shelby Park and New Albany. Each academy was
a two-week educational intensive designed to help
students become academically and socially ready
for the school year.

and after each academy using
the Brigance screening test.
Students scored a minimum
of 17 points higher after each
academy.
Certified Program
Our academies use certified
assesments and teachers.
Academy curriculum meets
state certification requirements
while staying rooted in the
Gospel.

At minimum cost
to them.
To increase the number of churches who can
participate in our initiatives, only 10% of our
revenue came from fees charged to local churches.
The remaining 90% came from individual donors,
corporate sponsors, and family foundations.
Seed to Oaks is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
