<strong>The</strong>re’s no such thing as a miracle drug for de<strong>to</strong>x and weight loss, but that doesn’t s<strong>to</strong>p people<br />

from wanting <strong>to</strong> get the process over with quickly. Red tea comes close, but I won’t lie - you’ve<br />

got <strong>to</strong> be willing <strong>to</strong> commit <strong>to</strong> your own success and you absolutely must make an effort. This<br />

is one area where many “diets” fail. <strong>The</strong>ir crea<strong>to</strong>rs use “quick and easy” as code for “no effort<br />

required” and in the process they negate the importance of effort and commitment.<br />

I understand why this happens because in all the years I’ve spent in the diet and fitness industry,<br />

I have never been asked how <strong>to</strong> lose weight slowly. In fact, most people who turn <strong>to</strong> me for help<br />

with weight loss have dozens or even more than 100 pounds <strong>to</strong> lose, and they’re looking for the<br />

fastest way <strong>to</strong> rid themselves of the excess weight. Don’t get me wrong: I’ve seen people succeed<br />

with a “slow and steady wins the race” approach, but they’re few and far between. This leads me<br />

<strong>to</strong> believe that the number one reason that most diets fail is that they simply don’t produce the<br />

rapid results people want. Let’s face it: It’s no fun <strong>to</strong> watch every bite and spend hours <strong>to</strong>iling away<br />

at the gym day after day, only <strong>to</strong> watch the scale creep down by just a pound or two per week. No<br />

wonder so many people give up!<br />
