2 cups flour<br />

½ cup salt<br />

¾ warm water<br />

Mix ingredients in a bowl. Knead<br />

on a floured surface for 10 minutes<br />

– don’t skimp because this helps<br />

the dough to become smooth and<br />

pliable. If the dough is too sticky, add<br />

more flour. Roll the dough to ½ inch<br />

thick. Press hand, thumb or paw into<br />

dough. Cut out as desired. Use a<br />

skewer or straw to make a hole for<br />

the ribbon. Place ornaments on a<br />

cookie sheet lined with parchment<br />

paper and cool at 200 degrees F<br />

for four hours. Once cool, paint<br />

with acrylic paint. After the paint as<br />

dried, spray with clear sealant after<br />

the paint has dried.<br />

Choose patterned paper/photo<br />

and trace cookie cutter on top. Cut<br />

out. Tie a narrow ribbon around<br />

the cookie cutter. Dab white craft<br />

glue along the cookie cutters edge.<br />

Press paper into place and let dry.<br />

Cut the ribbon into about four<br />

inch strips. Tie ribbons around<br />

stick, alternating the patterns and<br />

colors. <strong>The</strong>n cut the ribbon into<br />

the shape of a tree. Glue a thin<br />

string to the top of the branch.<br />

Paint the inside of each bottle cap<br />

white. Glue three bottle caps to a<br />

piece of ribbon. You’ll also want<br />

to put a bit of glue in between<br />

each bottle cap to hold them<br />

together. Form a loop with the top<br />

of the ribbon and glue in place.<br />

Use a toothpick to paint eyes, a<br />

nose, mouth and buttons on your<br />

snowmen. Tie a ribbon or yarn<br />

between the first and second bottle<br />

caps to make a scarf and accent with<br />

a button if you like.
