Athlete foot is a contagious foot skin problem in which the fungus infects<br />

the skin of the foot. Basically it has two forms, one is acute and other is<br />

chronic. In acute condition, blister formed on the arches of foot, those<br />

blisters are usually filled with cyst.<br />

The skin between toes and the other foot fingers may causes symptoms like<br />

redness and peeling of the skin which further causes pruritus or a burning<br />

sensation like issues.<br />

Whereas, in the chronic athlete foot condition in which the bottom of the<br />

foot gets reddish and scaly. It also causes the same issue pruritus and<br />

burning.<br />

Athlete foot treatments include topical medications or over-the-counter<br />

(OTC) antifungal medications. But for treating the severe cases athlete foot<br />

issue, oral antifungals or topical corticosteroids is required.<br />
