young men obeyed the Gospel. The students
come from congregations scattered
throughout the country, so these converts
will be added strength when they go home.
In addition to worshiping on the Lord’s
Day morning with the church that meets in
Winsome’s home, on Sunday evening we
went to Esther’s house, sister of Gertrude
[and George] Achard. Another church

Yangon. The picture has changed greatly
in the years since the Vertannes were
converted. We and the Wayne Barriers
learned of churches that had been begun
through the sharing of our literature across
the border from Christians in northeast India.
The Bible school was started and now
there are many congregations throughout
the country, and effective work is being
done in China by Burmese Christians
crossing the border and teaching there.
One of the exciting things about the
visits with the churches and Christians with
whom we have worked for decades in India,
Sri Lanka, and Myanmar was seeing the
numerical and spiritual growth. That’s what
the work is all about,
and it is a success
story!

glory and praises to
our Father in Heaven
for granting an opportunity
to hear lessons so well presented.
We were determined to learn as much as we
could within our time frame. Sisters from
our neighbouring congregations also attended.
It was most edifying to hear the lessons
presented so well and with wisdom of God’s
Word that we are still discussing them in our
classes. We are going through it as we have
our young Christian sister who is enthusiastically
keen to know more of the Eternal
Sacrifice lesson. May YHWH richly bless
you, and we look forward to seeing you
again as we endeavour to serve Him.”
