According to joint analysis by artnet Analytics and artnet News just 25 artists (over half
American) are responsible for almost 50% of all postwar and contemporary art auction
sales. This is an extreme situation and probably due to increasingly wealthy buyers competing
for a shrinking supply of name-brand artists. Of course this does not account for
the artists who sell in the private market. Jack Armstrong is one such branded artist. His
unique style of art he calls Cosmic ‘X’ and the fact that he only painted 100 canvasses and
vowed never to paint another, has guarantee him a place in art history as well as an ever
increasing value. Jack Armstrong hit the “jackpot” by selling his art privately in the
million dollar range and lists among his collectors
such famous names as Alice Walton,
Michel Polnareff, Narenda Patel and Donny
York. Around half of his collection of 100 are
now in private hands and none wishing to sell.
The incredible booming economy in the US
will project art sales higher and higher in the
coming years. There’s nothing quite like art as
an investment in good times or bad times. It’s
portable wealth and beautiful to look at and
you have the best bragging rights to hang in
your home. Imagine owning one of only 100
unique and magical paintings in the entire
world!
This top heavy market indicates that branding
is an all important factor and Jack Armstrong
certainly achieved that with his launch in 2010
of the Million Dollar Harley Davidson, the most
expensive motorcycle in the world. With his
osmic Harley, his ARTbike and his recent
audacious $6 MILLION Tony Lama Cowboy
boots Jack Armstrong has scored a hat trick.
Armstrong had a mass of publicity over the
decade to the envy of many excellent artists
who haven't yet made the big time. He has
promised to help other artists become well
known without the top galleries and auction
houses and secured himself a place in the
psyche of the public and the art world. Jack
eschewed those traditional establishment market norms which he called the “art
cartel”. With a movie in the making and his announcement that he will paint a
$100 Million car in 2020, the value of his extremely limited Cosmic ‘X’ art canvasses will
continue to increase. If you would like to be notified of upcoming events or pre-market
