APPLICATION PROCEDURES & DEADLINES
Apply as early as October 1 through the Ontario Universities’
Application Centre at www.ouac.on.ca, using the 105
Application Form. Regular admission (where spaces are
available) will continue to be offered up to August 1 for the
Fall term; December 1 for the Winter term, and April 1 for
the Summer (Inter-session and Summer session).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNITED STATES CITIZENS
Graduates of accredited high schools will normally
qualify for admission if the cumulative high school grade
point average is 3.0 or above. In addition, applicants are
encouraged to submit SAT (min. 1100) or ACT (min. 24)
scores to supplement their application.
Applicants for part-time studies must apply using the
UWindsor application form at uwindsor.ca/ptapp.
TRANSFER CREDIT FOR ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)
CREDENTIALS:
Applicants presenting Advanced Placement (AP) credentials
have the option at the point of admission of receiving transfer
credit for approved courses where they have achieved AP
grades of ‘4’ or ‘5’, to a maximum of 10 courses (30.0 credit
hours), or of taking the University of Windsor course.

UWindsor supports approximately 5,000 undergraduate
students annually with more than $11 million in
scholarships, bursaries and work study programs.
AUTOMATIC ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS
No matter what program you choose, you will be
automatically considered for a UWindsor open entrance
scholarship, if you’re entering directly from full-time
secondary school studies, based on your application for
admission and your cumulative grade 9-12 average.

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Athletes coming directly from secondary school with an
80% average or above may receive up to $4,500 in athletic
scholarships in addition to their entrance scholarships.

OUTSTANDING SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Each year, approximately 100 high-achieving, first-year
students are offered status as Outstanding Scholar
Candidates. In first year, Candidates will receive $750 per
semester in addition to their entrance awards. Candidates
meet regularly with program advisors, and are mentored
throughout first year. Outstanding Scholars are paid to do
research in Years 2-4. Students in all honours majors are
eligible for the Outstanding Scholars Program. For further

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS BY APPLICATION
Our entrance awards recognize a combination
of academic excellence, financial need and good
citizenship. To search for awards and eligibility
requirements, log on to myUWindsor.ca, go to

U.S. FEDERAL STUDENT AID
UWindsor participates in the William D. Ford Federal
Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program. U.S. citizens and
residents attending UWindsor may qualify. A Title IV
Federal Student Aid eligible program must lead to
an associate, bachelor, professional, or graduate
degree and be at least two academic years in length.
Note: Some programs offered by the university are
not eligible for federal aid. For a complete listing of
