For Year 7 entry our ‘<strong>Entrance</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong> Days’ are as follows:<br />
Saturday 19 th June 2021 (online) – Year 5 pupils for September 2022 entry (and any<br />
current Year 6 who wish to join us in September 2021).<br />
Thursday 4 th November 2021 – Year 6 pupils for September 2022 entry<br />
The Stafford Grammar School <strong>Entrance</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong> Days are designed to be a full day of<br />
activities. In addition to the formal entrance papers, there will be interesting and enjoyable<br />
team building exercises, a quiz and lunch provided.<br />
‘<strong>Entrance</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong> Days’ are designed to identify pupils in the top 40% of the national<br />
ability range (approximately the top half of a typical junior school class), equivalent to a<br />
standardised score of 105/140 on NFER/GL Verbal Reasoning and Mathematics papers. We<br />
also use a Stafford Grammar School English comprehension and creative writing paper.<br />

<strong>Entrance</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong><br />
Pupils who join us for this day will have results posted home to parents within a few days.<br />
Those who have been successful will be invited to Stafford Grammar School for an interview<br />
with the Headmaster.<br />
We offer academic, musical and sporting scholarships of up to 50% of school fees and<br />
bursaries of up to 50% of school fees. We will also be holding a Scholarship <strong>Assessment</strong> Day<br />
on Thursday 18 th November 2021 for those who perform in the top 5% of the national<br />
ability range on the June and November <strong>Entrance</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong> Days.<br />
