Once again this year the Festival offers attendees wonderful, up close encounters
with over 200 songwriters. We are blessed to have a sensational lineup this year and

Native Pensacola artist Alan Woolford's artwork is naturally influenced by his lifelong passion for fishing, surfing,
and diving here along the beautiful Emerald Coast, from Alabama Point to Port Saint Joe, Florida. "I've been very
blessed to have lived and loved my entire life in this area and Perdido Key is my home. I love living here. My job
as a marine artist is to share the Key's magnificent beauty with locals and visitors alike, while drawing awareness
to the importance of coastal conservation of our delicate seashore and it's habitat”, he states.
Alan has been creating artwork for special events, fishing tournaments, and marine oriented retailers since
1983. His work has appeared in Marlin magazine, Florida Sportsman, North Carolina Sportsman, and Coastal
Fishing magazines. Alan's customers come from the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, the Florida Keys, the Caribbean
Islands, Central and South America, California, the Great Lakes, and Australia.
He works in traditional fine art media such as oils and watercolors, along with digital media on an iMac
computer using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. While his specialty is marine art, he occasionally
ventures into architectural renderings, portraits, and boatwraps.

The Frank Brown Foundation for Music is a 501c3 non profit organization
dedicated to the education and inspiration of youth in Baldwin County, AL and
Escambia County, FL.
One aspect of the Foundation’s mission statement is “to reach into schools to enrich
lives and encourage creativity through music.” During the Festival and throughout
the year, songwriters are hosted, not only in venues, but also in local classrooms
and the annual Youth Seminar sponsored by Lulu’s and hosted by the City of Gulf
Shores at the Cultural Center.
The Frank Brown Foundation for Music provides opportunities for children to meet
the writer behind a song they know and love, and through that interaction, to learn
that they may have the capacity, ability and opportunity to enhance lives through
their own words and music.
The Frank Brown Foundation for Music also provides scholarships for students to
pursue higher educational opportunities and to follow their dreams while creating
music as well as donates instruments to local schools music programs.

Frank Brown Songwriters Festival
In-Schools Outreach Program
The Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, along with the Frank Brown Foundation
for Music, will once again be offering their In-Schools Outreach to area schools, free of
charge. The FBISF In-Schools Outreach program places a professional songwriter into the
classroom to speak to students of all ages, combining performance as well as, an interactive
question and answer segment about the industry and songwriting as a career. Via the ‘Writer
in Residence’ segment, presenters work with students on their own compositions as a path to
self-expression, creativity and to develop greater cognitive skills. Programs such as this benefits
students in a variety of ways, including building self- esteem, critical thinking, collaboration,
communication, Mathematics, English and vocabulary. This program is a fun way for students
to learn and develop these proficiencies. Per the program Director, Karen E. Reynolds: “Our
goal is for the student’s excitement for writing to carry on outside the presentation and allow
them to build skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom." Interested sponsors,

Special thanks to folks who have served in our Festival in the past. Including but not limited
to past Directors Brucie Glassell and Kent Sanderson. Peggy Butler, widow of Larry Butler, is
a huge influence in getting great musicians and connections within the music business. Also,
Richard Hartley, our esteemed Legal advisor, and a BIG thank you to both Linda Ponder
and PatsyAnne Stout for their years of dedication and volunteering. Linda and PatsyAnne
exemplify all that is great about the heart of the Festival and helping in the community.
We will always remember Mr. Frank Brown, the Flora-Bama night watchman, for whom the
Festival is named.
Our special thanks to songwriters who have always taken the time to come to our community
and share their passion and love of music with us.
This year, we make a special effort to acknowledge those of Native American Heritage and
have participated in the Festival. Wild Bill Emerson (a legendary character) well represents the
20+ writers of Native American Heritage in our Festival. We would like to remind everyone
that November is Native American Heritage Month.
Thank you to the venues, organizations and individuals who consistently go above and beyond
to help promote and donate financially to the Festival. Thank you to all the listeners who
eagerly attend venues each year to enjoy almost 2 weeks of original lyrics and music.
Unfortunately, each year we lose some of our writers and volunteers including long-time
festival participant C.J. Watson and dedicated attendee/volunteer, Ross Reishus, whose widow
Beverly continues to participate in the Festival.
In closing, we hope those who take part in FBISF this year including songwriters, volunteers,
and guests, go forth into the world and spread some cheer—the world needs it!

James Adkins
James Adkins is a traveling Singer-Songwriter based out of Northwest
Ohio. He learned to play guitar from his father and various other performers.
At college age, James decided to study Jazz at the University of
West Florida. Back to his roots, he is now performing Bluegrass, Folk and
Americana; along with his own original music, he tours constantly sharing
his music with others.
Rob Aldridge
Rob Aldridge is a Singer-Songwriter and guitarist based out of Muscle
Shoals, Ala. He began performing acoustic shows in local bars at an early
age, primarily playing covers of other artist’s songs. Aldridge has taken this
experience of playing a variety of music and concocted his own brand of
southern, soulful songwriting. Currently, he is preparing to release a rock
record with his band, The Proponents.

show NASHVILLE and his song “Dangerous” was on the television series
GCB. Dean has had numerous songs recorded by other artists recently,
including Eric Paslay’s “Come back to this town” and “Black Crow” featuring
Jason Isbell on Brent Cobb’s GRAMMY nominated debut release
Shine On Rainy Day. More to be released in 2018.
Applegate Nance
Applegate Nance, the Grammy nominated duo, from Nashville, Tenn. has
been playing for a decade honing in on their sound, being gently guided
early on by hit songwriters Wil Nance and Dean Dillon. They have collaborated
with such artists as Young Buck, Pino Squilaché, and hit producer
Marshall Altman.
Johnny Barbato
Johnny resides in Elberta, AL and plays his songs up and down the coast. He
started writing the stories of his life and later formed The Lucky Doggs in
1990, and have kept them going ever since. He’s had the pleasure of opening
for such groups as The Allman Brothers, David Allen Coe, BB King and
many more.

Marc-Alan Barnette
“A FORCE OF NATURE” Marc-Alan Barnette, or “MAB” as he is called,
has had a long, interesting career. Starting out as a singer/artist out of
Birmingham, in Nashville, he has had cuts by Shelby Lynne, David Ball,
John Berry, and his own theme song, “TABLES AND CHAIRS” He is
presenting his new CD, “A LIFE WELL LIVED”.
Jarrod Barrier
Jarrod is a Singer-Songwriter based in north Alabama, raised in a musical
family and writing since he was a teenager. At the University of Alabama,
he was introduced to another Alabama native, Wayne Mills. They developed
a friendship, which led to Wayne Mills recording his songs. Jarrod
has become involved with the Last Honky Tonk Music Series, which was
created to honor his fallen friend.

Ed Beaver
Ed’s recent album “Working Tapes” has been well-received by his peers. Ed
has appeared at the Frank Brown Festival for the last three years as a member
of the trio the 3 B’s, which includes Thumbpicker Hall of Fame member and
two-time Oscar nominated producer Thom Bresh. Also included is multiaward
winning Songwriter Hall of Fame member Bobby Keel to make a
terrific combination.

Logan Blade
Logan is a 26-year old young man who has autism. He has traveled all
over the Eastern part of the U.S., including Washington, DC at the WWII
Memorial, to Pennsylvania and in NYC on the USS Intrepid. Logan has
also been on the Grand Ole Opry with Country artist Josh Turner and has
performed at the famous Bluebird Cafe. He has two CDs and a portion of
the sales go to local Autism Tennessee.
Blue Mother Tupelo
Paste Magazine writes about Blue Mother Tupelo’s unique southern soul
sound, “Blue Mother Tupelo is quite possibly the best husband and wife
duo you’ve never heard of.” Ricky and Micol have an insatiable ingrained
heartfelt passion for traversing the purest depths and heights of music. Blue
Mother Tupelo is original organic American music that will pull you in, to
stomp and sway all night long.
Perry Bonck
Perry has become a popular performer at a variety of venues from Knoxville
to Nashville to NOLA, and has reached No. 1 spot in the Folk category
for his song, “Just An Old Guitar” on the OurStage music charts; as well
as, numerous Top Ten OurStage placements in Folk and Country. Other
awards include winner of Princess Cruise Lines ‘Pop Star’ competition and
winner of Tennessee’s ‘Got Talent’.
Debbie Bond
Debbie Bond and Radiator Rick, a husband and wife songwriting team,
have been writing and performing together for more than a decade, touring
extensively and critically acclaimed in the U.S. and Europe. They met
through their independent adventures in the blues and touring with many
traditional Blues musicians, including Alabama Blues legend Willie King.
Their immersion in the Blues and southern soul has deeply flavored Bond’s
soulful voice and guitar playing and Rick’s keyboard, harmonica and vocal
sensibilities.

Nick Branch
Nick Branch hails from Boston and moved to NYC in 1979 as a bandleader.
Starting a weekly gig at the Lone Star Cafe, he met and toured with
many acts that crisscrossed the globe; as well as 48 of 50 states in the
U.S. of A. He wrote music for Broadway, jingles, film and TV before moving
to the Gulf Coast in `93. This is his 25th year performing at FBISF.
Thom Bresh
The Breshman was born in Hollywood, California and raised in the
middle of guitar royalty. His father, Merle Travis, was the most influential
American guitarist of the 20th Century. Thom Bresh, the 2001 inductee
into the “Thumbpickers Hall of Fame” and his six string friends have been
entertaining people for a lifetime. Bresh started writing songs at the age of
13. He has written theme songs for two major motion pictures and had
numerous cuts in his career.
Tony Brook
Tony Brook has performed with Lucinda Williams, Tanya Tucker and
Waylon Jennings’ Band. Also, he has opened up Willie Nelson, Ray
Charles, Government Mule and Sam Bush. He has released his 6th and
7th full length records, “Live from the 280 Boogie” and “Songs from the
20th Century.” Tony has had cuts by Wayne Mills, Billy Earl McClelland,
Will Dooley, Lisa Baldwin and Joe Write, to name a few.

Randy Brooks
Randy Brooks is inevitably introduced as “the man who wrote ‘Grandma
Got Run Over by a Reindeer” – the multi-million seller that earned Randy
SESAC Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year honors. “Grandma”
is typical of the tongue-in cheek novelty songs for which Randy is known.
His “Percy the Puny Poinsettia” was also a million-seller by virtue of sharing
vinyl with “Grandma.”
Jay Brown
Jay Brown’s songs come from the same place all great songs begin: in the
real world. They tell the story of hard work and simple pleasures, of love
and loss, and of deep mysteries we all struggle to understand. His winding
path began in Pittsburgh, led through Georgia and Florida, and finally
brought him to Nashville, where he enjoys the opportunity to co-write with
some of the city’s top tunesmiths.

Jan Buckingham
Jan Buckingham is a twice Grammy® nominated songwriter, producer,
publisher and entertainer, with cuts by many pop artists (Whitney Houston,
Clay Aiken, Melissa Manchester, etc.) and country artists, including George
Jones, Tammy Wynette, Tim McGraw, Pam Tillis, Lee Greenwood, Gary
Morris, Crystal Gayle, Barbara Mandrell, and many others. Jan also has
many songs in films, like MY COUSIN VINNIE, and in television shows
like HOLLYWOOD WIVES and FRIENDS. Jan’s favorite thing to do is
write songs and perform them.
Rusty Budde
Rusty Budde signed his first songwriting deal in 1980. As a writer Rusty
has penned songs for Les Taylor (Exile), Hank Thompson, Earl Thomas
Conley and many others. Co-writers include Red Lane, Hank Cochran,
Steve Cropper, Buck Moore and Randy Travis, to name a few. As a Producer,
Rusty has worked with such greats as Earl Thomas Conley, Joe Diffe,
Buddy Cannon and Grammy winning producer Larry Butler.
Tim Buppert
Since moving to Nashville Tim has become a successful songwriter as
well as session singer, singing on over 8,000 demos and on albums by
Trisha Yearwood, Michael Peterson, Kevin Sharp, Billy Ray Cyrus and
Rodney Atkins. As a songwriter Tim has had cuts by: Trisha Yearwood,
The Wiggins, Continental Divide, Perfect Stranger, Doc Walker, Yankee
Grey and a No. 1 single by Kevin Sharp “SHE’S SURE TAKING IT
WELL” which was is included in ASCAP’s Top 50 Songs of the 90’s.
Brent Burns
Brent Burns has been privileged to write songs with some of the best including
Hall of Famer Bobby Weinstein (“Goin’ Out of my Head”, “Hurts
so Bad”), Steve Dean (“Watching You” by Rodney Atkins and other number
one hits). Also, Bill Whyte and Nashville legend Roger Sovine. He’s had
cuts by Cledus T. Judd, Kacey Jones and Ray Stevens. Brent also won 10
Trop Rock Music Association awards.
Buddy Cannon
Hit producer/songwriter Buddy Cannon currently works with Kenny
Chesney, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Reba McEntire, David Lee Murphy

Brigham Cason
Brigham Cason is a multi-instrumentalist from Baldwin County, Alabama
with a passion for music. He recorded his first all-original solo album in
Muscle Shoals at Fame Studio and Big Star Recording at the end of 2016.
His self-titled album was released in August of 2017. Brigham was selected
as the 2017 Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival Youth Showcase

Austin Church’s songs are written with depth, an unorthodox turn of

Barbara Cloyd
Shortly after her move to Nashville, from the club scene of her hometown
of St Lois, Mo., Barbara was hired to host the Bluebird Cafe Open Mic

Morgan classic “I Guess You Had To Be There,” she began mentoring
through workshops and consultations. Many writers owe their first deals to

Nora Collins
Nora Collins brings a confident and youthful originality to country music.
The Wisconsin native has been performing since she was a teenager,
picking up multiple Best of Milwaukee awards as female vocalist and best
acoustic musician. She moved to Nashville in 2016 after securing a songwriting
and artist development deal with MV2 Entertainment. She is working
on new music with producer Marshall Altman. The first single from
that upcoming project “Who Knows Who,” gained attention from CMT

Larry Cordle
Kentucky was home for Larry Cordle and his childhood friend, Ricky
Skaggs. Hearing Cordle’s “Highway 40 Blues,” Ricky promised that he

Raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Greg Crowe brings a compelling

Kimberley Dahme
Kimberley Dahme is an American singer-songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist,
performer, record producer and actress. Her music incorporates

the stage of the band BOSTON. Dahme was the bassist for BOSTON
from 2002. In 2014 she went back out with BOSTON on Electric guitar.

Dean Dillon
Between 1979 and 1981 Dean Dillon released 12 singles for RCA Records.

No.1 hit for George Strait. As an artist Dillon charted eight times and
broke the Top 30. He also wrote hits for other country stars like George

Nick Donley
Originally from Oak Hill, Ohio, Nick discovered his love for music at a

Diann Hammer has taken a slow and unique path to become a songwriter

Jim St. James has been a previous performer at festivals past. He’s currently
promoting and touring the U.S. with his band, The Jordans and James
Band. Members of the Americana Music Association, the band’s sound is

songwriter presence with their original, folksy ballads that fit nicely into the

Mel Knapp
If you’ve found yourself wondering where the music was coming from because

Damien Joe Lamb
Damien Joe Lamb has been performing on the Gulf Coast since 1998.
His music roots and early performances date back to the 1960s Greenwich
Village Folk scene. Damien’s songs of life and its challenges, and love won
and lost, have reached a diversified audience locally and around the US.

Ken Lambert
Ken at age 14 picked up his uncle’s guitar and taught himself how to play.
Later in Nashville, one of the first people he met was a very little known
guy at that time named Kris Kristofferson. Soon his love for songwriting
was born. In 1978 he recorded his first album. In 1982 Mel Tillis cut
Ken’s “Wrong Again.” In 1986 Alabama cut “Pony Express,” a song Ken
co-wrote with Teddy Gentry, Buddy Cannon and Dean Dillon on “The
Touch” album.
Lynn Langham (Langham and Gill)
Lynn is a Grammy winning songwriter and musician. She has songs recorded
by Wynonna, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell and others. “Old
Yellow Moon” (written with Hank DeVito) was the title track of Harris and
Crowell’s Americana Album of the Year for the Americana Music Awards
in 2013 and the Grammy Awards in 2014. She tours nationally with Doug
Gill as Langham and Gill.

Neal Lucas is from Talbot County, Georgia. His songs are filled with the

Marlow Boys
The Marlow Boys (Joe Langley, Karl Langley, Stan Foster and Phil Proctor)
are a four-piece roots rock band from the Alabama Gulf Coast. Cousins Joe
and Karl Langley grew up around Marlow, a small community on the Fish
River in Baldwin County, Alabama. They have performed together since
their teenage years, singing and playing a wide variety of music and venues.
Troy Martin
Troy Martin is an important advisor and coach to many new songwriters.
He has already written songs that have been recorded by a dozen major
recording artists including three No. 1 hits for George Strait, Rick Trevino
and Jeff Carson. Troy is currently a staff writer for Melody Roundup Music
LLC based out of Nashville, Tenn. He is very active writing and performing

Jenna McClelland
Jenna (Nashville, Tenn.) returns to FBISF for the fifth year in a row, following
in the footsteps of her late father Billy Earl McClelland. In December,
she and her brother Michael’s band Stone Broke Saints dropped
their debut self titled EP. March brought a proud release of the first single
“Lighthouse” from her sophomore EP, with the intent to soon release the

Mark McGuinn
Billboard said, “It’s an almost unheard-of feat in the Country community

with the majors and score a Top 10 hit.” Yet in 2001, Mark McGuinn did
with his smash “Mrs. Steven Rudy,” the first time in over 40 years a new
artist, on a independent label had done. USA Today wrote, “It is hard not

Ronny McKinley
Ronny signed in 1995 with positive country label Cheyenne Records of
Nashville. Less than a year later he had four Cashbox Magazine No. 1 singles
releases. Ronny has also toured the nation with legendary singer/songwriter
Hank Cochran, wrote music with Hank for five years and learned
a lot about the music world during that time. Ronny is a signed writer for
Hank Cochran Music in Nashville. Ronny still tours the country with his

Don McNatt
Don McNatt was known in Nashville as “the TV Guy,” for his long running
songwriter series on CATV. During that time he was traveling around
the planet playing the songs from his CDs with his wife Karen McNatt.
He brings a rich history that includes road bands out of Memphis, San
Francisco, Los Angeles, and Nashville. Country Music Weekly called him

Dallas Moore is an award-winning songwriter who’s current 2018 album

Isaac Moore
Isaac is a 17-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from
Mooresville, Ind. Isaac began singing at age 2, playing guitar and banjo
at 7 and multiple other stringed instruments by the time he had written
his first song at age 10. While Isaac’s vocals lean toward the Country and
Bluegrass genres, his instrumental artistry crosses a broad variety of genres
from Bluegrass and Country to Gypsy Jazz, Blues and Classic Rock.

Danny Myrick
Danny achieved his first No. 1 gospel song as a writer at age 17 before moving

Will Nance recently hit the top of R&R and Billboard with his Brad
Paisley smash “She’s Everything,” which stayed at No. 1 for three weeks. In
addition; he also wrote the song “Hard To Say Hello,” which was on Brad
Paisley’s “ TIME WELL WASTED “ bonus CD. In 1999, Will received a
BMI Award for “ROUND ABOUT WAY,” a No. 1 hit single for George

John Northrup hails originally from Toppenish, Wash. on the Yakima
Indian Reservation. He Moved to Nashville where he would co-write with
writers such as Buddy Cannon, John Scott Sherrill and Mickey Newbury.
MCA signed him as an artist. He’s had cuts by Vern Gosdin, George
Strait, George Jones, Ken Mellons, Gene Watson, Tim McGraw, The
Statler Brother’s, Kenny Chesney and Sammy Kershaw have found success

Jim Parker
With a long history as a singer/songwriter from Amarillo to Los Angeles

Will Rambeaux is singer/songwriter/producer in Nashville Tenn. Originally

Raised on the Gulf Coast, Darrel Roberts began writing at age 14. He has

Katie Rogers
Katie is a regular on the songwriters’ circuit and has appeared at 30A
Songwriters Festival, Frank Brown Songwriters’ Festival and the Pensacola
Beach Songwriters Festival. Katie opened for “The Band Perry” for the
2011 Pensacola New Years Eve Pelican Drop, the Pensacola Seafood Festival

Leah Rose
In 2017 Leah was the first place winner of Z98.5FM Local Licks Songwriter
Contest and the first place winner at the County Line Music Festival
Songwriter Competition. She has made many appearances on radio
and television and currently holds a song catalog of 85 originals, including
two award-winning original songs. Leah’s song “Smithville” was recently
chosen to be used in Smithville Mississippi’s campaign to attract new businesses
to the town, which was destroyed in April 2011 by an F5 tornado.

Runaway Home
Runaway Home is a Panoramic-Americana band founded by Mark Elliott
and Gary Culley, who have been making music together for more than

Yulie Ruth is a songwriter from Argentina. In his new album “LLÉVAME”

Jim Sales
Jim Sales was first introduced to the guitar watching his Grandmother
play hymns. His dad showed him his first three chords when he was 10.
He served in the U.S. Army as a radio/TV announcer. After the Army,
Jim moved to Nashville and worked as guitarist for Country legend,
Vern Gosdin. They co-wrote Jim’s first hit song, and it went Top 10 with
Billboard and led to a publishing deal with the prestigious Welk Music
Group for Sales.
Jerry Salley

Thom and Coley McCabe Shepherd
Thom and Coley are award-winning songwriters, and a world-traveling
troubadour duo. They were both writing for Nashville publishing companies

Rob Snyder
Rob Snyder is a singer/songwriter from West Chester, Pa. Snyder’s appetite
for music began at an early age and was encouraged by his family,
as both of his grandfathers were musicians and writers. Snyder launched
“Revival” at the Tin Roof Demonbreun in Nashville in 2013. With the
moniker “Hank and Jesus are watching,” “Revival” showcases some of

Sugarcane Jane
Anthony Crawford and Savana Lee make up this acoustic Americana duo
that has been mesmerizing fans with their sibling like harmonies and Sonny
and Cher type personalities. They met in Nashville when Anthony was on
the road with rock legend Neil Young. While touring as a sideman, Anthony’s
songs were being recorded by Steve Winwood, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny

Joe Sun
Inspired by artist Mickey Newbury, Joe Sun moved to Nashville in 1972.
In 1978, Joe’s first record, “Old Flames (Can’t Hold A Candle To You),”

toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe, has been on dozens of television

Kevin Swanson
Like many singer/songwriters that came before him, Kevin Swanson was
born and raised in the state of Texas. He grew up in Humble, Texas, a
town just Northeast of Houston. His musical journey started at eight yearsold
when he received his first guitar. He started writing songs at age 15 and
has been writing ever since. He recently completed 14 years of Active Duty
service in the US Navy and will be pursuing a full time career in music!
Susan Swanson
For 20 years, She has experienced and performed music from Classical
to Rock and Roll. Her father (Smokey Joe Peoples) introduced her to the
world of music in a different light given her classical rearing in Pensacola.
In Arkansas, she began to write and perform her original music with The
Dirty Rug Band in 2004. After eight years, having landed in Kentucky with
nothing more than her guitar and a suitcase, she performed in the local
music scene.
Rusty Tabor
Kentucky born singer/songwriter Rusty Tabor has been performing on
stage since the ripe young age of 14. After a short lived college football
career he packed up and moved to Nashville in 2001 to chase yet another
dream… that of signing a record deal. Within his first year in Nashville
Rusty had landed his first publishing deal with Skidaddy Music. Billy Ray
Cyrus quickly took a liking to Rusty’s songwriting style and recorded two

1 position on the chart for two consecutive weeks, reached two million

Sonny Throckmorton
From 1976–1980 there were only three weeks when one of Sonny

Bob Tobin
I first performed when I was five and wrote my first song in 1959, age
eighteen. I had always piddled with music through the years but didn’t
really get hooked until I moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Joe Gilchrist and
Ken Lambert Singer-Songwriter extraordinaire, are the reasons I do what
I do today. I thank Joe for opening the door and Ken for inviting me up on

Stephen Lee Veal
Stephen Lee’s came to writing at an early age which eventually led him
to Nashville, where he’s been co-writing with well known hit songwriters.
There he has played over twenty songwriters shows at the famous Bluebird
Café and headed up a monthly “All Alabama Songwriters’ Round”.

Jim Vest
Leaving Kentucky in 1969, Jim moved to Nashville and became the leader
of the band at the Western Room in Printer’s Alley. There he formed the
“Nashville Cats,” which has remained one of the top country music groups
for more than 18 years. Jim’s talent on the steel guitar has made him one
of the top “A” team recording musicians in the world. He is the recipient
of the “Super Picker Award” (for musicians who have played on million
selling records).
Tammy Vice
Her most important role is being a mother. Tammy has two “pretty remarkable”
daughters. She became a strong advocate for autism awareness
after her younger daughter was diagnosed with autism at age 3. Tammy is

Rick Whaley
After performing for years in the N.J. and N.Y. area, Rick moved to Nashville
in 1985. He worked on stage and in the studio as a guitarist, bassist
and demo singer while polishing his writing skills. In 1989, he was introduced
to the Perdido Key area where he began playing and singing. After
going back and forth the decision was made to permanently move to the
beach. Known as an accomplished rhythm guitarist and a strong vocalist,
Rick currently performs with his group, “The Perdido Brothers.”

Bill Whyte
Bill Whyte’s songs have been recorded by Joe Nichols, Ray Stevens, Cledus
T. Judd and others. “Safe Haven” was on the Hillary Scott and The Scott
Family “Love Remains” album that won A Grammy in 2017 for Best Contemporary
Christian Album. As a radio guy he won the CMA Award and
was inducted into the Country Radio Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2012.
In 2017 the Gateway Country Music Association in Missouri awarded him
a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jack Williams has written with, worked with or had his songs cut by Uriah
Heep, Ken Hensley, Blackfoot, The Oak Ridge Boys, Gregg Allman, Molly

Steve Williams’ songs are featured on four gold records. “Where Have I
Been All My Life” recorded by George Strait has been heralded as one
of the most poignant songs of Strait’s career. “Redneck Yacht Club” (recorded
by Craig Morgan) went to No. 1 in 2005 and became one of the
most downloaded songs of the year. Buddy Jewell’s debut album also went
gold and features Williams’ song, “O’Reilly Luck.” As a performer, Steve
has worked with Kenny Chesney, Tanya Tucker.

The Wilson Brothers Band are a Nashville-based brother duo from Alexander
