COMMUNICATION<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians are an integral part of Wales International <strong>School</strong><br />

<strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians are communicated with through various media, as a result of our parent survey<br />
analysis. The parents of students in Wales International <strong>School</strong> like a variety of methods and media:<br />
<strong>School</strong> newsletters, telephone calls, SMS, e-mails, letters, Class Dojo, website updates, Instagram and<br />
meetings.<br />
o Letters and emails are sent from the Principal at least five times per term, detailing information<br />
regarding the school day, term times, academic progress reports, meetings, orders of business<br />
etc.<br />
Teachers are asked to contact <strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians when necessary to discuss academic or behavioural<br />
issues that arise during the week.<br />
Academic performance is reported three times per year by a full written report and on a half termly<br />
basis through academic level sharing via Class Dojo.<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians are invited to meet on a one-to-one basis with teachers once per term through our<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>-Teacher meetings, which are held in the evenings. They may also schedule an appointment to<br />
meet any teacher or leader at any time during the school day when the teacher is not teaching.<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians are invited to communicate/visit with our Social Worker at any time during the<br />
school day.<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s/Guardians are invited to be a part of our Mothers Council at the beginning of the academic<br />
year. Those parents then form a council, which help to organise school events and activities within<br />
school, such as our reading initiative and National day.<br />
<strong>School</strong> Website<br />
The school website (www.walesschool.com)is under constant development in order to obtain a wealth of<br />
information about the curriculum, activities and events. You will also find term dates, the school calendar.<br />
Wales international <strong>School</strong> also communicates with parents via SMS, Communicator, Class Dojo, emails,<br />
telephone or letter.<br />
<strong>Parent</strong> Contact Details<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s are requested to ensure that any changes to their contact details (home address, email address and<br />
mobile telephone numbers) are notified to school. This can be done by sending an email to<br />

<strong>School</strong> Administration Contact Details<br />
The school administration is open Sunday until Thursday between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday<br />
and Thursday and till 4:00 pm on Sunday and Wednesday for appointments, payment of fees and student<br />
registration. The school receptionist and class teacher should be notified if a student will be absent due to<br />
sickness.<br />

Arranging to visit the <strong>School</strong><br />
During a normal working day, all visitors including parents should report to the school reception. Visitors must<br />
sign-in with <strong>School</strong> Security using their UAE Resident ID and obtain a visitor permit. Visitors are asked to wait in<br />
the reception area until the member of staff has been notified. Visitors are requested to make appointments in<br />
advance.<br />
