conducted short-term training program of<br />
non-formal education for development of<br />
multicultural communication skills.<br />
2. Volunteering<br />
Immigrants volunteered helping elderly<br />
and disables people in the Centre of Social<br />
Services.<br />
3. Evaluation<br />
Empirical study: immigrants became more<br />
active and successful in the integration<br />
into a social life and labour market.<br />
Acting as volunteers immigrants not only<br />
acquired professional skills about also<br />
perceived themselves as donors. It enabled<br />
immigrants to become self-assured, better<br />
undestand their benefits and place in a new<br />
society.<br />
