Before our ceremony even began she had captured some of my favorite photos, my mom and I. Just a few short months before, we had unexpectedly lost my dad. Yet in the room, with my mom’s hands in mine, Amy captured his presence there. As I walked down the aisle to Adam Sandler’s Grow Old with You, her lens revealed my glowing smile, leaving no doubt of the joy felt in that moment. There were incredible photos of the love between Scott and I, and happy moments shared with our new Brady Bunch. She didn’t shy away from a few sassy shots that really show what it’s like to be a part of our family. Amy was willing to go above and beyond as well, which included but I’m sure is not limited to: moving herself in to any position necessary to get the right angle; pleading with the powers that be to remove a large, red boat anchored just behind our ceremony spot; and even inconspicuously shooing away photobombing bystanders, including a large speedoclad man. Amy’s love for what she does, eye for detail, and ability to capture emotion through her lens truly set her apart. And because of this, we have treasured photos that will forever allow us to relive that special day.
