TECHNICIAN
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all 3rd Shift semen laboratory activities, including:
• Operates semen sexing machines.
• Performs semen freezing after semen is sorted.
• Assist in the handling and pulling of semen needed for all IVF
fertilizations
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 or 4 year Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry or other life sciences
degree preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a freezing environment (40 °F) for short periods of
time (up to 30 minutes).
• Indoor lab environment.
OTHER SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Prior semen processing/handling and lab experience preferred but

TRANS OVA IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•General repair and equipment servicing at Trans
Ova sites.
•General maintenance and repairs on building and
facilities around Trans Ova sites.
•Ensures the image of the facilities meet TOG
requirements.
•Executes new construction plans.
•Assists in unloading various feed products around
the farm.
•Operates light and heavy equipment including but
not limited to: skid loaders, pay loaders, tractors,
bale shredders, manure spreaders, box scrapers.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum high school diploma or G.E.D.

•Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to
operate farm equipment. Working conditions are

Northwestern College’s maintenance department has a full-time opening for a
housekeeper. This 12-month position will require 40 hours per week and will include
working seasonal evening or weekend events. This position will consist of assisting with
housekeeping duties in the new science center. Alternatively open to considering a parttime
schedule which requires 25 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours
per week during the summer.
Prior custodial and supervisory experience is preferred. Candidates must have the ability
to perform physically demanding work and be able to regularly lift 10 to 30 pounds and
occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Good communication skills are also essential as the
person in this position regularly greets the public and communicates with parents and
students and will supervise several student employees.

STUDENT ACCOUNTS
MANAGER
Northwestern College has an opening for a full-time student accounts manager beginning
February 20, 2019. This position will report to the comptroller and is responsible for billing
and collecting student accounts, answering questions on billing statements, managing daily
cash drawer and preparing bank deposits, reconciling online ach and credit card payments,
recording cash receipts, and supervising student workers.
Meet Mindy Liechti:
Mindy began working at VNU in May of 1985.
She had met several individuals from Village
Northwest through a college course and was
hooked! She had also checked into other
agencies in Iowa and other states and really
liked what VNU was doing.
When asked what has kept her here, Mindy
said, “I love helping the individuals reach
their goals, whether it involves employment,
living as independently as they can,
participating in Special Olympics, or learning
