GENERAL INFORMATION<br />
AGE OF SALE BULLS: 14-21 MONTHS OF AGE<br />
After a change in our calving pattern to a winter calving for commercial reasons, the bulls we will offer for sale each<br />
year will be 14 -21 months of age at our sale date.<br />
SELLING SYSTEM:<br />
<strong>Sale</strong> of bulls will be conducted as a ring sale auction. Video’s of select bulls will be available on LM website. All bulls<br />
will be penned for inspection prior to the sale.<br />
FERNWOOD ANGUS:<br />
Little Meadows would like to welcome to our sale, ‘Fernwood Angus’, owned by John and Dale Jansen, Gingin. Bulls<br />
are bred by the Jansen’s and purchased by LM upon weaning. <strong>The</strong> bulls are LM genetics and are fully guaranteed<br />
by LM. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Fernwood Angus into the future.<br />
FERTILITY AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION<br />
All bulls have been examined for breeding and structural soundness. <strong>The</strong>y have been semen tested and guaranteed<br />
for fertility.<br />
WEIGHT AND MEASUREMENTS<br />
Scrotal circumference measurements that appear in the catalogue were collected on December 13th, 2018. All<br />
bulls will be weighed prior to sale and these weights will be available on sale date. Max Bowman scanned all bulls<br />
for carcase evaluation on December 7th, 2018.<br />
GUARANTEE<br />
All Little Meadows and Fernwood bulls are guaranteed for up to three years from the date of sale. Every effort has<br />
been made to ensure our bulls leave Little Meadows in top working order. However, should any Little Meadows and<br />
Fernwood bulls prove to be infertile or incapable of service we undertake to:<br />
-Issue a refund equal to the purchase price less the salvage value and is calculated on the basis that the amount is<br />
reduced by one third for each year of service from the date of sale.<br />
<strong>The</strong> guarantee covers the purchase value of the bull, without interest, cost and damages. <strong>The</strong> guarantee shall<br />
apply providing the bull’s incapacity is not caused by injury or disease contracted since leaving Little Meadows. A<br />
veterinary certificate must be supplied by the purchaser upon request.<br />
HEALTH<br />
All bulls offered for sale have been tested PI negative and vaccinated with Pestiguard, Vibrovax & 7-in-1 and are<br />
guaranteed free of Brucellosis, TB, Mannosidosis and Johnes Disease. WA has been declared Johnes free and bulls<br />
can go to all states. Little Meadows is J-BAS 8.<br />
RECESSIVE GENETIC CONDITIONS<br />
All bulls are tested or are by inheritance, free of all genetic conditions except Lot 37 (DDC) and Lot 70 (CAC). <strong>The</strong>re<br />
are four genetic conditions within the Angus breed. <strong>The</strong>y are AM (Arthrygroposis Multiple (Curly Calf)); CA (Contractual<br />
Arachnodactyly (Fawn Calf Syndrome)); NH (Neuropathic Hydrocephalus) and DD (Developmental Duplications).<br />
For the condition to be expressed, the undesirable gene needs to be present on both sides of the pedigree;<br />
both the sire and dam must be carriers.<br />
SALE CONDITIONS<br />
<strong>The</strong> conditions of the sale are those displayed on sale day by the selling agents.<br />

DELIVERY OF BULLS<br />
No bulls to be picked up or delivered on sale day.<br />
We recommend that all bulls be insured that are remaining at Little Meadows. Bulls that remain at Little Meadows<br />
do so at purchasers risk.<br />
