to me,<br />
it’s not only religion, it is philosophy. It is a guide through<br />
life. It shows you that life is sometimes very cruel but you<br />
can reshape yourself and get out of the troubles you are<br />
in. I have found profound help from reading the lessons in<br />
this book and have found that kind of help and support at<br />
Freda Mohr. I am very grateful for the center and from the<br />
very first time I came here, I felt at home.<br />

The “keepsake” that I brought was the Dora and Charles<br />
Mesnick plaque I received in 2010 for Excellence<br />
in Senior Programming. This award is especially<br />
meaningful to me because it validates all of the work<br />
that I do on behalf of older adults in the community.<br />
Working with seniors is my passion as it exemplifies my<br />
personal ethics and values which are being kind and<br />
compassionate towards others.<br />
