Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman TI(M),
HI(M), SI(M) is a retired four star air officer
and former Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan
Air Force.
He is an accomplished fighter pilot who
got commission in the GD (P) Branch of
Pakistan Air Force in November,1980.
Aman is a graduate of Combat
Commanders’ School, Air War College and
Royal College of Defence Studies (UK).
He holds Master’s degrees in International
Studies from Kings College UK and
Strategic Studies from Air War College.
During his illustrious career in PAF, Aman
has commanded a Fighter Squadron,
Combat Commanders’ School, an
Operational Air Base. He also remained
as AOC Central Air Command & Southern

Air Command. He served as Deputy Chief
of the Air Staff Training and Deputy Chief
of Air Staff (Operations). Air operations
against terrorists in operations Zarb e Azab
which brought peace back in the country
Alhamdulillah. Besides flying F-16s in the
Pakistan Air Force, ACM Sohail has also
flown F-15s in Saudi Arabia, Tornado’s,
Grippen and Euro fighter Typhoon in the
United Kingdom.
His services were appreciated at different
levels, especially his efforts in transforming
Pakistan Air Force into a vibrant and more
potent force and cementing inter-services
cooperation which were amply displayed
during the different operations,”
MISSION
