Huntington Pool<br />
Ages: 12—14 years old<br />
Cost: $45<br />
The American Red<br />
Cross is the nation’s<br />
leader in babysitting<br />
classes and child care<br />
training – and will<br />
prepare youth to be<br />
the best sitter in their<br />
neighborhood. In fact,<br />
8 in 10 surveyed<br />
parents said they<br />
would pay more for a<br />
trained babysitter who<br />
holds Red Cross<br />
babysitter<br />
certifications. Start<br />
your babysitting<br />
business on the right<br />
foot and learn how to<br />
be a safe, professional<br />
and reliable sitter.<br />
Designed for new<br />
babysitters this Red<br />
Cross childcare<br />
training course will<br />
allow youth to gain the skills<br />
necessary to care for kids of all ages. It will help<br />
participants develop leadership skills, build their<br />
business, help keep themselves and others safe, learn<br />
basic child care and basic first aid. The course will<br />
be taught according to skill level. Must be able to<br />
attend all classes to receive certification!<br />
NOTE: Babysitting and<br />
Junior Lifeguard can be<br />
combined for a total cost<br />
of $100. Participants will<br />
stay at Hillcrest Pool each<br />
day until 5:00 p.m.<br />
Morning/afternoon<br />
snacks and lunch will be<br />
provided for participants<br />
enrolled in both classes.
