3. Neglect about pretentious flavour descriptions
Neglect in regards to the pretentious flavour descriptions!
If you’ve forgotten what a juice is supposed to taste like by the time it comes about to reviewing it,
that’s a superb issue: possess a “blind” taste and try to pick out the flavours by yourself, then read what
it’s supposed to be. This will likely help you put a name to any unidentified flavours which are really
present (and could possibly even enhance your appreciation on the juice overall), but your previous
blind taste will protect you against the juice-reviewing “placebo effect” from the flowery descriptions.
4. The nose is vital
When I review a liquid, the first issue I do is verify the bottle carefully and make sure that all the labeling
and packaging is CLP compliant (primarily for EU sourced ones).
For me, the actual graphic design on the label isn’t that crucial as long as the relevant info is on there,
nic level, prod date or batch number, VG/PG is doable and company address.
I usually begin out with a Mini Protank 3 using a 1.5 ohm DIY coil as this provides a great indication of
how the juice will be to get a new vaper.
I will then try it in a Kayfun or Taifun or Lemo and if I would like to test stability at power having a higher
VG juice it'll go into a dripper or Delta 2.
I take note in the mouthfeel, what flavour notes are present around the inhale, and what exactly is
present on the exhale, taking care to exhale by way of the nose in addition to the mouth is important! I
will also take note of any aftertaste and comment about this.
