MEMO: VACATION DAYS AND FULL
ATTENDANCE
Message from our General Manager
Team,
As we get going into 2019, I
For us to continue
evolving as a successful
team, we must remain
focused on winning every
day by consistently
delivering a peak
performance to our guests,
both internal and external.
We do so by working
together on our Common
Goals, letting our Values
guide us and taking
advantage of every
opportunity to grow and
self-develop.
We cannot afford to get our
foot off the pedal or become
complacent… Complacency
is the enemy of progress.
I encourage you to remain
passionate, continue
sharing ideas and don’t be
afraid to challenge or
question the status quo.
Thank you for being the
driving force behind La
Cabana’s success!
Equipo,
A medida que avanzamos en
el 2019, me gustaría
agradecer a todos y cada uno
por su continua
contribución y creencia en
nuestro propósito de "Crear
Vacaciones Inolvidables".
Para que sigamos
evolucionando como un
equipo exitoso, debemos
seguir enfocados en ganar
cada día, entregando
consistentemente un
máximo rendimiento a
nuestros clientes, tanto
internos como externos.
Lo hacemos trabajando
juntos en nuestros Objetivos
Comunes, dejando que
nuestros Valores nos guíen y
aprovechando todas las
oportunidades para crecer y
desarrollarnos
personalmente.
No podemos permitirnos
sacar el pie del pedal o
volvernos conformistas... El
conformismo es el enemigo
del progreso.
Les animo a permanecer
apasionados, a seguir
compartiendo ideas y a no
tener miedo de desafiar o
cuestionar el estado en el
que se encuentra nuestro
negocio.
¡Gracias por ser la fuerza
impulsora detrás del éxito
de La Cabana!
SAFETY: PROPER LIFTING TECHNIQUE
Every one of us sometimes comes across a situation where they have to lift something.
To avoid back pain or injuries it is important to use the right lifting technique.
Follow the following steps:
• Keep a wide base of support. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart, with
one foot slightly ahead of the other
• Squat down, bending at the hips and knees only. If needed, put one knee to the
floor and your other knee in front of you, bent at a right angle (half kneeling).
• Keep good posture. Look straight ahead, and keep your back straight, your chest
out, and your shoulders back. This helps keep your upper back straight while having
a slight arch in your lower back.
• Slowly lift by straightening your hips and knees (not your back). Keep your back
straight, and don't twist as you lift.
• Hold the load as close to your body as possible, at the level of your belly button.
• Use your feet to change direction, taking small steps.
• Lead with your hips as you change direction. Keep your shoulders in line with
your hips as you move.
Set down your load carefully, squatting with the knees and hips only.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Article 4: Absence and Tardiness
The importance of punctuality cannot be over-emphasized. Arriving late for work
may create serious problems for your supervisor, fellow associates and in some
cases, it affects the guest’s total vacation experience. Further implications of
your tardiness could include lost revenue and strained relationships among
associates. Lateness is not only unprofessional; it is also inconsiderate.
It is your responsibility to report on time for your scheduled shift. If for some
extraordinary reason, you are going to be late for your scheduled shift, you must
call your supervisor as soon as possible, in any case prior to the start of your
scheduled shift and explain the reason and give the expected time of your
arrival. Should you be unable to reach your supervisor or manager, you need to
contact the Human Resources Department or, after hours, the
manager on duty, security shift leader on duty or leave a message with the
telephone operator. You should report directly to your immediate supervisor or
manager regarding absences and tardiness. It is prohibited to have another
associate and/or relatives pass on information concerning absence or tardiness.
Furthermore, it is not allowed to begin work early in order to leave early or
remain after working hours to make up for late arrival without prior
approval.
