Babatunde heads Afreximbank’s IT Department

Afreximbank, has named
Olaleye Babatunde as director
of its Information
Technology Department,
following an upgrade of
the function from its
former unit status.
Babatunde had
headed the Information
Technology Unit as a Senior
Manager, starting
in February 2014 when
he joined the bank. Prior

new role, Eze is expected to
bring his wealth of experience
to bear by consolidating
on the company’s strategic
business growth trajectory
and developing talents
in the Public Affairs and
to that, he was the Chief
Information Officer/
Deputy General Manager
at Stanbic IBTC
Bank, Nigeria.
He holds an MBA received
from the Lagos
Business School in 2004.
He also received an
M.Sc. in computer science
from the University
of Lagos in 1998 and a
B.Sc., also in computer
science, from the University
of Ibadan in
1995.
In his new position, he
will be responsible for
leading Afreximbank’s
strategy on information
technology in support of
the bank’s mandate and
medium-term strategy.
This includes leading a
comprehensive strategy
to build, develop and
standardise technology
solutions throughout the
bank in direct support of
its strategic priorities.

deliver on the company’s
strategic goals. He is also
expected to build on the
good reputation of the company
amongst its publics,
stakeholder groups as well
as effectively manage every
aspect of NBC’s corporate
relations.
Eze joined NBC Limited
in February 2010 as Regional
Manager, Public Affairs
and Communications
and was responsible for
supporting the objectives of
the company through
strong relationships and effective
communications
with all stakeholders as well
as coordinating timely execution
of its sustainable
CSR programs, among
other tasks.
Prior to this new appointment,
he was the Country
Manager, Corporate Social
Responsibility, saddled with
the task of developing
sustainability strategies and
implementing them in support
of NBC’s strategic business
priorities as well as
conceptualising, developing
and facilitating the
implementation of projects
related to the company’s
commitment to community
relations.
Before joining NBC, he
spent a couple of years in the
banking industry where he
managed media relations,
internal communications,
brand management, Corporate
Social Responsibility
and External Relations for
three Nigerian banks. Eze
also had a stint with journalism
in Daily Independent

John Leslie as its new
Country Manager. Graham
takes over from Mr.
Antti Ritvonen, who has

since 2015. Prior to his appointment,
Mr. Leslie was

Kingdom.
Mr. Leslie brings to bear
his 30 years’ experience,

Graham worked for
Monsanto for 11 years
where he was involved in

as the Area Director. While
at Monsanto, Mr. Leslie
was instrumental in

where his passion lay, in
