Autumn is a great time to visit
the Gold Coast as the weather is
cooling off and temperatures are
more bearable. Autumn also marks
the start of the whale season,
with whale sightings starting late
May. The Gold Coast is one of the
best places for whale watching in
Australia as approximately 16,000
Humpback Whales will pass through
until late October.
This season also showcases some
amazing events including the
Quicksilver Pro and Bleach* Festival
in April, the Blues on Broadbeach
and SeaFire Surfers Paradise in May,
Cooly Rocks On in June and the Viva
Surfers Paradise and Groundwater
Country Music Festival in July. There
