METHOD 632 - CARBAMATE UREA PESTICIDES
Mixtures
Method 632 is applicable to the determination of carbamate and urea pesticides in industrial and municipal wastewater by high performance liquid
chromatography (HPLC). Note that this method provides for an optional Florisil column cleanup procedure, to aid in the elimination or reduction
of interferences, which may be encountered (caused by contaminants in solvents, reagents, glassware and other sample processing apparatus that
lead to discrete artifacts or elevated baselines in liquid chromatograms).
METHOD 634 - THIOCARBAMATE PESTICIDES
Method 634 is applicable to the determination of thiocarbamate pesticides in industrial and municipal wastewaters. Sample extraction and
concentration steps in this method are similar to other 600 Series Methods. The separation and measurement of the compounds in the extract is
by alkali flame detector (AFD) gas chromatography. To aid in the elimination of interferences an optional silica gel column cleanup procedure is
provided. This method describes analytical conditions for a second gas chromatographic column that can be used to confirm measurements made
with the primary column, as well as the gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) criteria appropriate for the qualitative confirmation of
these compound.
