What's Happening...<br />
I have been ordering food from Umberto’s Restaurant &<br />
Pizzeria, located on East Commercial Blvd. I rate it four<br />
stars, so far, I have had their meat lasagna which was excellent,<br />
the eggplant rollatini seems to be one of my favorites<br />
<strong>and</strong> their sauce is amazing. Their pizza is also a great choice.<br />
I prefer the crust to be extra crispy <strong>and</strong> they do that to perfection.<br />
You must try their desserts all priced around $6 –<br />
including their tiramusi.<br />
The Ocean Manor celebrated their 60th Anniversary<br />
Weekend, which was a huge success. The owner, Frank<br />
Talerico, looked dashing in his tux. Be sure to come to their<br />
Haunted Hotel, <strong>and</strong> enter their costume contest, for a chance<br />
to to win $1,000. Congratulations to Billy Sullo on the opening<br />
of his second salon in the lobby of the Ocean Manor<br />
hotel. I also want to congratulate Lenore Nolan Ryan on the<br />
opening of her new restaurant, cooking school, <strong>and</strong> catering.<br />
I have known Lenore for over 20 years, when she first<br />
moved to Lauderdale by the Sea <strong>and</strong> took over Gina’ s Pizza.<br />
The place she moved to is on A1A – just north of Oakl<strong>and</strong><br />
Park, across the street from that Greek restaurant. Her food<br />
is sensational, I attended an event, <strong>and</strong> the appetizers circulated<br />
were over the top. With the holidays coming, be sure<br />
to keep her place in mind for any celebration that you might<br />
have.<br />
I also welcome the Water Taxi, which has been around for a<br />
very long time. Recently, I met their new director of marketing,<br />
Phil, who invited Yvette, Lifestyle’s photographer <strong>and</strong><br />
myself, to enjoy a ride in one of their newer, bigger boats,<br />
which has air conditioning, <strong>and</strong> bathrooms. They have initiated<br />
a New Happy Hour, which was quite fun, <strong>and</strong> I invite<br />
everyone who has not been on the Water Taxi for a while, to<br />
give it a whirl.<br />
My last thank you goes out to Physical Therapy Group of S.<br />
Florida, where I tried one of the newest treatments for pain.<br />
Whole body cryotherapy sessions. Basically, your whole<br />
body temperature is reduced by extreme cold. It really<br />
works! Dr. Matroo is offering some very interesting treaments,<br />
using PRP for hair growth <strong>and</strong> facial rejuvenation, <strong>and</strong> has<br />
seen some incredible results. She is also combining it with<br />
Micro-needling, at the spa located on E. Commercial Blvd.<br />
in Ft. Lauderdale. They also offer PDO Thread treatment for<br />
sagging jawlines & skin folds.<br />
