PENMET PARKS<br />
Cushman Powerline Trail<br />
Reid Drive NW (14th Avenue NW) to<br />
Borgen Boulevard<br />
6.2 miles. Owned by Tacoma<br />
Public Utilities and permitted for<br />
use to PenMet Parks (2010) and<br />
the City of <strong>Gig</strong> <strong>Harbor</strong>. Trailhead<br />
parking areas are on 14th Avenue<br />
Northwest, Hollycroft Way, Kimball<br />
Drive, Grandview Street and Borgen<br />
Boulevard. The trail is a 16-foot-wide<br />
paved asphalt pedestrian route<br />
exclusively for nonmotorized uses.<br />
Bike racks, benches and picnic tables<br />
along the path.<br />
Fox Island Fishing Pier<br />
1453 Ozette Drive<br />
5.5 acres. The picturesque fishing spot<br />
includes 635 linear feet of shoreline<br />
and has a 1,200-square-foot handicap<br />
accessible pier, paved pathway,<br />
handrails, restroom and picnic area.<br />
Hales Pass Park<br />
3507 Ray Nash Drive NW<br />
4 acres include a rustic 1938 CCC<br />
building and picnic shelter, tennis<br />
courts and baseball field. The site has<br />
served as a school and community<br />
hall, and is available for meetings,<br />
classes and social gatherings.<br />
<strong>Harbor</strong> Family Park<br />

This 18.7-acre park is open to the<br />
public with access via primitive trails..<br />
McCormick Forest Park<br />
10301 Bujacich Road NW<br />
122 acres. Has abundant wildlife with<br />
over four miles of trails of varying<br />
difficulty for walkers, runners, cyclists<br />
and horses. Trails wander through<br />
old growth forest and offer views<br />
down into the McCormick Creek<br />
canyon. Parking is across the street<br />
on Bujacich Road Northwest in the<br />
fire station lot.<br />
Narrows Park<br />
1502 Lucille Parkway<br />
35 acres. Offers over 1,000 feet of<br />
Tacoma Narrows shoreline access,<br />
excellent fishing and views of the<br />
Tacoma Narrows bridge. A paved path<br />
winds to a gazebo and the sandy rock<br />
beach. Two telescopes provide up-close<br />
views of the bridge and beach. The<br />
6-acre waterfront has paved parking,<br />
grassy play and picnic area, picnic table<br />
and nonmotorized boat launch.<br />
Rosedale Park<br />
and Community Hall<br />
86th Avenue Northwest and Rosedale<br />
Street<br />
This 2-acre site is located across from<br />
Rosedale Market. Rosedale Playfield<br />
has a combined fenced grass youth<br />
soccer field, a grass 200-foot softball<br />
diamond. Down and across the street<br />
are two outdoor tennis courts and a<br />
half-basketball court. Rosedale Hall is<br />
located adjacent to the tennis courts.<br />
The 2,400-square-foot building<br />
provides 2,000 square feet of meeting<br />
space with a 400-square-foot kitchen<br />
and can be rented for community<br />
and organizational events.<br />
