GOOD AND BAD NEWS
SHELTER
Shelter
SO MANY LOSSES
Last month we lost some very
dear people and dogs. We lost
an amazing woman Samantha,
who had been a force to
reckon with in the animal
welfare world. She had
supported our work in so
many ways over the years and
will be sorely missed.
We also lost Verena, a dog that
we had done everything we
could for. In the end she died
from Leishmania at the arms
of her foster, who loved her
dearly.
PROGRESS WITH THE
MUNICIPALITY
We work tirelessly with the
local municipality to make
them part of the solution for
strays problem.
Now for the first time we held
an animal welfare weekend,
which was concentrating on
volunteers as well as on the
public. Vets, trainers and other
specialist were giving advice
and education while 150 free
microchips were given to
those who needed them.
