Middle School
8-14 years
Our Middle School incorporates Key Stage 2
and 3. It is the largest department, spanning
from year 4 to year 9 and covers a range of
learners in terms of age and learning needs.
Communication, interaction and social skills are
still a large component of the curriculum, coupled
with reading, writing and maths. Pupils are
introduced to formal learning if and when they
are individually ready. Our curriculum has a strong
focus on exploration and creativity. Learning is
inspired by highly motivating topics that change
termly or half termly.
Upper School
14-19 years
Our Upper School incorporates Key
Stage 4 and 5 with the emphasis on
equipping our young people with
the skills they need to transition
to adulthood. Where students are
capable of getting a job after school,
there are many opportunities for
personalised work experience,
supported internships and vocational
qualifications in Horticulture and
Hospitality. The Duke of Edinburgh
Award is integrated into the
curriculum and if a student is
capable of further qualifications in a
particular subject, arrangements
are made.
Each student and their family are
guided towards the best outcomes
for the future.
“
Our purpose is
to support our
families alongside
our young people
