The New Founders
The Lincoln family’s dedication and commitment to the Valley of the Sun
communities whether developing industries, health care centers, and arts
organizations, was most profoundly evidenced through David’s passion for
education. David was quoted as saying not long after he and Joan established
the first Thunderbird computer lab, “The spirit here is unique and there is
that Thunderbird mystique. I think it’s here to a large extent because of the
students.” He summed up by saying, “Its curriculum is unique and important –
crucial.”
While celebrating and honoring Thunderbird’s historic past, our new Global
Headquarters will embrace the future – a future we may only imagine through
the vision, aspiration, and philanthropic investment of our global community.
Just as General Yount did in 1946, we seek to engage a small group of leaders,
of New Founders, to make this next chapter for Thunderbird possible.
Our ask for those wishing to join the New Founders, is for a gift of $1 Million
in support of the Thunderbird Global Headquarters. To date, we have been
heartened by the support of alumni and friends of the School who have
enthusiastically joined this group to make the future possible for Thunderbird.
We would be honored for the Lincoln Family to continue the legacy John C.
Lincoln began over 70 years ago with the
Thunderbird School of Global Management. We respectfully request that the
family consider a gift of $1 Million as a New Founder. Thank you.
