Nasi Lemak Bumbung evokes nostalgia, to<br />
my university days when I used to walk all the<br />
way from Universiti Malaya to Seapark just<br />
to indulge in this decadent nasi lemak. Why I<br />
love it so much? It’s simplicity. The spices and<br />
ingredients used for the sambal and chicken<br />
bear fruition to an utterly divine experience.<br />

I’m always looking for healthier<br />
options. So, when a sinful national<br />
dish comes in a wrap using couscous<br />
and chicken breast, how could I<br />
resist? I also love how each mouthful<br />
is so balanced when ingredients are<br />
in a wrap, tasting sweet homemade<br />
sambal, crunchy roasted peanuts,<br />
crisp greens and tender chicken<br />
harmoniously each time.<br />

Langkawi flight, my intense craving<br />
for nasi lemak led me to a surprise<br />
discovery at Kampung Kravers. The<br />
nasi lemak ayam berempah embodies<br />
everything I love about our national<br />
dish - fragrance, robust flavours and<br />
a perfectly balanced sambal. The dish<br />
is moderately spicy and the rempah<br />
chicken is in fact genorous with its<br />
gravy, which adds more enjoyable<br />
layers of flavour for a perfect dish.<br />

Nasi lemak that comes with a fried chicken cooked perfectly<br />
tender on the inside and crispy on the outside is heaven sent<br />
indeed. For fried chicken lovers like me, the fact that you<br />
could ask for more crunchy bits that coat the chicken to eat<br />
with your nasi lemak is truly amazing.<br />
NASI LEMAK AT MADAM KWAN’S<br />

There’s a reason why the nasi lemak at Madam Kwan’s is<br />
an all-time favourite. Condiments are plenty to go with the<br />
aromatic coconut rice – curry chicken, refreshing acar, and<br />
dried shrimp floss. Whatever you choose to mix your rice with,<br />
it will create harmony in your mouth.<br />
