Dear friends and fellow Hereford Breeders, Well, it’s hard to believe that this is our 15th sale. We appreciate the support of everyone who has helped us along the way and the lifelong friendships made. The decision making in our herd selection over the years has had the input of many viewpoints. Not always is the advice taken, but every comment, judgement, suggestion, gets thought about, weighed in and sifted down to the final answer. Is it always the right decision? Not always, sometimes there are gambles, but it is our goal to keep improving the herd and advancing each year to produce predictable performance from a strong genetic base. This year we have added a new dimension to our bull battery with the addition of Haroldson’s SCC Hawk ET 208E. This herd sire will bring calving ease, performance and a little different pedigree to our herd. From one of Haroldson’s top cow families. We are looking forward to the progeny from this new herd sire. We are happy to have our “Genetic Affiliate” Thurston Livestock with us again this year. Take a close look at their offering. The sire of their two heifer calves, “Dignity”, is a flush brother to Direction. Dignity is doing a great job for them in their herd. The bred heifer they bring is the only bred heifer in the sale and will be a sale feature and make a front pasture cow. Please start your “Hereford Weekend” by joining us on Friday, September 20th, then attending the Elm-Lodge sale on Saturday and the Autumn Alliance sale on Sunday. Please note the new start time of this year’s sale. The cattle will be on display all afternoon, sale starts at 6:30 pm.
