We all know how stressful IB can be, and we are all guilty of a little stress-eating at times.
To help you with your snacking, I have compiled three recipes that are both delicious and
easy. After all, who doesn’t love the taste of desserts that are fresh out of the oven?
We hope you have a lot of fun making and eating the treats below!
Soft Sugar Cookies (24 Servings)
Ingredients:
For The Cookies:
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
For The Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
For Cookies:
In a bowl, add the flour, baking soda,
and salt. Whisk to combine. In a large
bowl, add the butter, sugar, and cream
together using a hand mixer until light
and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add the
egg and mix until fully incorporated.
one third at a time, until fully combined.
Shape the dough into a rectangle and
wrap in a plastic wrap. Chill dough for
1 hour in the refrigerator. Remove the
plastic wrap from the dough and lightly
flour an even surface.
Roll out dough about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut out circles using a glass or cookie
cutter (or cut out fun shapes using a
cookie cutter). Transfer cookies to a
parchment paper-lined baking sheet,
leaving about 1 inch in between cookies.
Bake for 8 minutes until the bottom is
golden brown, and the top is pale. Let
cookies cool on pan or wire rack.
For Frosting:
In a bowl, beat the butter until fluffy
with a hand mixer. Sift in powdered
sugar and mix until incorporated. Add
milk and continue to beat until mixture
smooth and velvety. Frost cookies and
decorate as you wish.
Add sour cream and vanilla and mix
until creamy. Add the flour mixture,
