DOYLE CUP CHAMPIONS
The Doyle Cup was donated in 1985 by Pete Doyle, a Penticton businessman and his family, for competition of
Junior ‘A’ Hockey Clubs between Alberta and British Columbia. The best-of-seven series featured the Champion
of the AJHL versus the Champion of the BCHL.
Until 2013, the winner of the Doyle Cup represented the Pacific Region at the RBC Cup National Championship.
In 2013, the Western Canada Cup was created to crown a Regional Champion and advance two teams
to the RBC Cup from amongst the AJHL, BCHL, MJHL and SJHL. The WCC tournament ran from 2013-2017
