This tour offers a visit to one of the most diverse botanical gardens of Crete. The Maravel<br />
Garden is the creation of Stephanos Maravelakis. Intermingled with a variety of flowering<br />
trees there are over 300 common and unusual medicinal herbs. The garden is composed of<br />
local and tropical species from all over the world. These spices and herbs have been used for<br />
centuries by the Cretan people as treatment of chronic illnesses or emergencies. On the<br />
guided tour Stephanos will explain the benefits and uses of the plants and herbs. After the<br />
garden our journey to Tripopetra Beach will take us through the Cretan countryside of hills<br />
and small villages. Along the way we are greeted with scenic panoramas of mountains and<br />
the Libyan sea. Our visit at the beach is for 3 hours. There you will find spectacular sea views,<br />
restaurants, swimming and walking on the beach. The umbrellas and sunbeds are free of<br />
charge. On our return we will have a one hour stop at the village Melabes for refreshments.<br />
After this we will continue and arrive at 18:00 in Agia <strong>Galini</strong>.<br />

Preveli beach is certainly the most famous beach of southern Crete receiving<br />
thousands of visitors every summer. On the banks of the Kourtaliotis River is a<br />
large colony of palm trees which gives the area a sense of African landscape.<br />
The river forms a large lake 1.5km long before it flows into the sea and has<br />
water all year round. Our Day tour starts from Agia <strong>Galini</strong> at 09:00, at 10:00 we<br />
will be at the parking located to the west side of preveli beach. From the high<br />
cliffs you will have the chance to see the breathtaking views of the palm forest<br />
and Kourtaliotis river which ends to South Cretan Sea. We will be at the beach<br />
approximately 10:30 and we will find easily a cool place below the trees to stay<br />
for 4 hours. During this time you will have a guided tour (1 1/2 hour) in the palm<br />
forest and to the river with several stops for swimming in the small lakes. Our<br />
tour continous to Damnoni beach by boat ,another beatiful and popular beach<br />
of southern coast. At Damnoni we will stay for 2 hours in which you can have<br />
many options for lunch, there are several restaurants and taverns. Our day<br />
tour ends to Agia <strong>Galini</strong> approximately at 18:00.
