Welcome from the Director of the Sixth Form
Our school has been proud to serve Pudsey and the
surrounding area for 114 years. We are one of the
most rapidly improving schools in the country and
as a result our Sixth Form is expanding. We are also
building on our second successive Ofsted which
judged the quality of our Sixth Form as good.
We have a proven track record of ensuring our students
progress to the career of their choice, whether that
is into some of the best universities in the world
including Oxford and Cambridge, a high quality
apprenticeship, further education or employment.
I am delighted to inform you that through careful
planning, we can now guarantee that any Year 12 student
who joins from September 2020 onwards will be taught
entirely at Pudsey Grangefield Sixth Form by our own
highly skilled staff. In addition to this, our students
benefit from much smaller class sizes which allow them
to get more individual time with their teachers.
We are investing heavily in our Sixth Form this year, including
enhancing the study and pastoral support available for our
students combined with Oxbridge preparation courses.
This is an exciting time to join our Sixth Form, whether
you attend Pudsey Grangefield already or are at another
secondary school. I guarantee you will be warmly welcomed,
taught to the highest standards and receive an excellent
education which prepares you for your chosen career.

At Pudsey Grangefield Sixth Form, we aim to provide a
rigorous and transformational education that enables our
students to be successful whatever their chosen career path.
Our vision is that after two years of Post 16 study with
us students will not only have the fantastic academic
qualifications to access some of the best universities
and careers in the country but that they feel confident
when leaving Pudsey Grangefield Sixth Form to be
in control of the next phase of their journey.
While academic excellence and fantastic teaching and
learning are central to our Sixth Form, we know that to
achieve our vision we need to provide much more. We
create a broad and balanced experience for our students
through supporting our school values in everything we do;
from studying, to volunteering, to helping others within
our successful school community. All students at Pudsey
Grangefield Sixth Form will continue to embody the values
of integrity, resilience, ambition, compassion and respect.
Whether you are one of our Year 11 students or a
student from another school we will ensure that you
are welcomed into our community. By the time you
leave in Year 13, we will have helped you to lay the
foundation stones for a full and rewarding life.
