1.7 Life expectancy, Multipliers and PPO<br />

1.7.1 C relies on the expert evidence of Dr Tring who advises that<br />

C has normal life expectancy.<br />

1.7.2 The discount rate used in this Schedule is that announced for<br />

implementation from 5 August 2019, namely -0.25%. Should<br />

the Lord Chancellor make a further announcement or should<br />

the law otherwise change, the Schedule will require revision.<br />

1.7.3 Assuming normal life expectancy, the multiplier for life is<br />

89.62 (Ogden Table 1).<br />

1.7.4 Multiplier from 8 to 11: 3<br />

Multiplier from 11 to 18: 7<br />

Multiplier from 18 to 89.62: 79.62<br />

1.7.5 C seeks a Periodical Payment Order in relation to future care<br />

and case management.<br />

2. GENERAL DAMAGES FOR PAIN, SUFFERING AND LOSS<br />

OF AMENITY<br />

C refers to the evidence of Dr Tring.<br />
