1.7 Life expectancy, Multipliers and PPO
1.7.1 C relies on the expert evidence of Dr Tring who advises that
C has normal life expectancy.
1.7.2 The discount rate used in this Schedule is that announced for
implementation from 5 August 2019, namely -0.25%. Should
the Lord Chancellor make a further announcement or should
the law otherwise change, the Schedule will require revision.
1.7.3 Assuming normal life expectancy, the multiplier for life is
89.62 (Ogden Table 1).
1.7.4 Multiplier from 8 to 11: 3
Multiplier from 11 to 18: 7
Multiplier from 18 to 89.62: 79.62
1.7.5 C seeks a Periodical Payment Order in relation to future care
and case management.
2. GENERAL DAMAGES FOR PAIN, SUFFERING AND LOSS
OF AMENITY
C refers to the evidence of Dr Tring.
